We recently had our twilight wedding at Sparth House on the 29th November 2024, and it was truly a magical experience. From start to finish, the entire day was absolutely perfect, and that’s all thanks to Emma and the incredible team. Emma, our host, was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to make our day extra special. Her attention to detail, care, and dedication were unmatched, and it showed in every aspect of the day.

The venue itself is stunning, full of charm and elegance, which provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The team's planning and organization were impeccable, ensuring that everything ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. The care and thoughtfulness of everyone involved made us feel truly valued and supported throughout the day.

We can’t recommend Sparth House enough. If you're looking for a wedding venue that delivers exceptional service in a breathtaking setting, this is the place. Thank you, Sparth House, for making our special day unforgettable!

From the moment we arrived at Sparth House for our first viewing, we knew it was a very special place. The attention to detail from the team even went down to our coordinator Emma printing out two name cards to match the variation of my name in my email address to make sure they had my name right from the first moment. The venue is stunning, and was exactly what we wanted for our wedding with plenty of space in the main room, and smaller breakout areas for our guests to find the place they feel most comfortable through the day and into the night.

Every single time we visited, people knew who we were, which is such a small detail but makes you feel so valued when you’re trusting someone with such an important part of your life. Emma was always on hand to answer any questions I had - big or small - which was hugely helpful as we pulled everything together.

The tools made available to us by Sparth made the planning process so easy, and meant that at our final meeting, both us and the venue were confident that the day would go to plan. There was a wedding the day before ours so we dropped off all our items the evening before and left the team to put everything together overnight and on the morning. It genuinely could not have looked more like we imagined it if we had been the ones to set everything up. All of our decorations looked perfect, and the entire house was exactly as we imagined. The tiniest of details were thought about and pulled together to just make everything look absolutely wonderful.

When it came to the actual day, everything from arriving at the garden apartment the night before (which came with so much of the tastiest food - do not eat before you arrive because you’re really going to want to savour every bite!), to the care given to us on the morning whilst getting ready, all the way through to the end of the reception was just perfect. We went into our day ready to roll with some hiccups and things to not work out how we wanted, but every little thing was absolutely perfect.

One of the biggest things we cared about was the food, and when we went to our tasting, we knew that it wasn’t possible to pick the wrong thing. Everything we tried was absolutely gorgeous, and the presentation of the dishes was absolutely stunning. So many of our guests complimented not just the food, but also the servers. The serving team at Sparth were all extremely professional, and a lot of our guests praised how good the team were at serving the whole table at once. It was a small detail that was really appreciated by our guests.

This has been the hardest review to write because it’s extremely difficult to put into words how thankful we are to Emma and the whole team. Our day was absolutely amazing, and so many of our guests have called it the best wedding they’ve ever attended. That praise is in no small part down to the professionalism, organisation, and dedication of the team at Sparth House. I almost wish we could get married all over again just to come back! Thank you so much to Emma, Katie, Olivia, Megan, and the whole team at Sparth House.

Where to start with this - what a weekend. We just wanted to write you a little thank you for all your effort for our wedding on 7th December 2024 - we had the most perfect day and that’s thanks in no small part to the Sparth House team for helping us to organise such a great event.

Emma, you gave us the warmest welcome at Sparth House for the Wednesday open evening back in June, and we have felt so confident leaving this in your safe hands from the outset, especially doing this in such a tight turnaround (6 months to the day pretty much!). Everything was clearly explained to us from day one and since then no question was left unanswered - you were always so approachable, welcoming and happy to help which has made the whole planning process so much easier. Both of us felt completely calm right up to the big day and that is mainly because we knew if we had forgotten anything, you would be a safety net running along behind us to remind us of it all - every little detail was covered so thank you so much for bringing our special day to life!

Megan, you couldn’t do enough for us on the Friday night before the wedding, in the garden apartment for the meal with my (Hayley’s) family. You were so welcoming and we all felt so well looked after - you went above and beyond to make my last night as a ‘miss’ really special, so thank you so much (and hopefully you had some good birthday celebrations after working our wedding!)

The food was a huge priority for us as I’m sure was very clear from day one. We loved the taster evening and were so impressed by the range of choices (as well as accommodating our special request of homemade fudge!) On the Friday in the garden apartment, the pizza, salads and bruschettas were such a treat (as well as the gorgeous brownies and cookies) - it really made it a memorable evening. On the day, the gorgeous continental breakfast set us all up perfectly for the day. Our guests were so impressed by the canapés and the wedding breakfast food (lamb shank) - it’s all anybody was talking about. The cheese table, which can only be described as Pinterest-worthy, went down a storm. As bride and groom, we hadn’t had chance to go and indulge which we were both gutted about - however a lovely touch was returning to the bridal suite after the reception to find a beautifully decorated pizza box filled with cheeses, crackers, fruit and wedding cake - we were both delighted! The Greek buffet for the evening reception was fantastic, so massive thank you to the chefs for creating such delicious food - it really made the day.

Thanks to Olivia for helping the day to run so smoothly and supervising the delicious breakfast and check-out process the morning after for the guests that stayed over. Nothing was too much trouble so thank you for your patience!

Overall, it was an incredible experience and we can’t thank you enough. There is so much more that we could mention. It was such a special day and there were so many personal touches by the Sparth House team that just made it even more perfect - we will remember it forever.

Katie/Olivia/Emma and the rest of the Sparth House team!

We just wanted to write a few words to thank you for making our big day so special. As I said in my speech, Sparth House was only the 2nd venue we visited and we knew there and then we didn’t need to visit any more. The house and the gardens we loved, but the team we could tell were so attentive and enthusiastic about what they all do. From our initial booking through to leaving the morning after the wedding, everyone was brilliant. It all ran so smooth as well, which is a credit to you all!

At our final meeting Katie said we seemed very chilled, and to be honest we were because everything was taken care of and we knew we were in very capable hands. The day itself was just amazing, everyone commented on the stunning venue and again how good the staff were. The food was unreal, we had so many people saying it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding, so well done to the chef and his team! One of my friends even asked where he could buy the soup 😂 There were so many little details that just added that extra special touch, coming up to our room to find a pizza with our name on the box was a very welcome surprise!

Katie - you were excellent as our co-ordinator…very organised and we felt so comfortable knowing the day would run smoothly. I think we were one of your last weddings before you go off to have your little one…hope that all goes well and we wish you all the very best with everything.

There isn’t much more to say, but again we can’t thank you all enough for making our wedding day everything we wanted and more. We will definitely be back to visit in the future to relive some of our happy memories ☺️

Where do I start!
We got married on Friday and honestly this is going to be so hard to put into words.
Firstly booking to view the venue was the easiest out of all the venues we viewed which honestly when your planning a big event it a dream. However we actually gate crashed Emma 3 days before our booking but it was absolutely no trouble at all. Despite setting up for a wedding emma checked with the bride if we could look around and she was ok with that.
Emma sat down with us asked us what we wanted and how we envisioned our day. She asked what date we had in mind, she instantly reserved this for us for 2 weeks which was outstanding, especially after loosing a few dates at another venue whilst waiting for a date me and my partner where free to view together. We went to Sparth House to rule it out and left knowing this was the perfect place for us. Emma allowed us to bring the parents over on our original booking on the Sunday and they to where blown away (which is amazing as they are very difficult people to please)
Over the span of 2 years we attended many Wednesday open evenings to measure up and plan our special day. This alone was a absolute blessing just to have that freedom to pop in. Each time we went no questions went unanswered (I'm sorry for pecking your heads in for 2 years haha) everyone at Sparth house is lovely but Emma really concentrated our love for the place.
Now to the day, I'm still on cloud 9 5 days later. Not a thing went wrong, absolutely everything was spot on. The service was outstanding. The food was delicious. We have had so many people comment on how great the food was and how beautiful the venue is. It was everything we wanted and more. We stuck to the tried and tested time frame for Ceremony etc and it was a dream. It was also lovely to see the rooms changing such as a new stylish bar and the bridal suit make over is lovely.
If you think you have found your venue and you haven't viewed sparth house then you haven't found your venue. Go, go and meet Emma, Olivia and Katie. They will change your mind if the venue does not sell itself.

We cannot thank Emma and the team enough. You went above and beyond for us and we will cherish our special day for ever.

We got married on 1st August this year and we just want to say a huge huge thank you to all of the team for such a wholesome, happy and beautiful day!

Every single member of your staff team was so accommodating, organised, friendly and so helpful. From the second we booked you have all been there whenever we needed anything, no question to silly - you even helped with things you should never have to! I want to say a huge thank you for helping put the personal touch on my mums memory area, it meant so much to me that that part was perfect for the day.

From the moment we arrived the day before you treat us and the wedding party like royalty. The night before apartment was the perfect way to spend my pre-wedding night, pizzas, Prosecco and brownies made the perfect girls night! Breakfast in the morning was great and the staff were so great at letting me know where I should be at what time and not overwhelming me with information! I knew from the moment I arrived that I didn’t need to worry if things would run smoothly because we were in great hands!

The day was more than I could have ever dreamed of and I don’t think we could ever truly explain how grateful we are to you all for making our day so special. We couldn’t have asked for more from the gorgeous venue, staff and food! I couldn’t recommend you guys anymore!

Where do we start...we didn't have the easiest journey to our wedding day. We had originally booked a venue close to our home but that fell through and all of a sudden we were left without somewhere to get married. Along came the wonderful team at Sparth House and everything just fell into place. Although a little further for us and our guests, that didn't seem to matter anymore as we had found the perfect venue for us. Emma made us feel welcome from our very first meeting. She helped and guided us with the planning throughout and really helped us have the day we had dreamt of. Olivia and Katie also ensured the day went off without a hiccup and they were all amazing throughout. They and their team of staff made our day feel so special and we will be forever grateful that we found them. Sparth House will always have a special place in our hearts. It was simply meant to be xx

We recently got married at Sparth House at the end of August and had the most perfect day thanks to Emma, Katie, Olivia and the rest of the staff there - we honestly can't thank them enough.

We booked our wedding 8 months before the big day and had just popped to one of the open evenings for a nosy round - it was the first venue we had been to look at but as soon as we walked through the door, we knew it was the one and decided to pencil in a date that evening.

The whole process of booking and planning our wedding went so smoothly and was made completely stress free. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and professional throughout. Emma was our wedding planner and despite the fact that she must plan a lot of different weddings, she always made us feel like our day was so important to her. We thought it was brilliant that we could Whatsapp any questions over and Emma would be so speedy with her responses. It really felt like everyone at Sparth House genuinely wanted us to have the best day. We loved the fact that it is a family run/owned business and there was a real care to how they look after the wedding couples, customers and guests.

On the day, everything went to plan and we had an amazing time. It felt really well organised and the staff kept the day running really smoothly. The canapes, wedding breakfast and evening food were all fantastic. I have quite a number of food intolerances and Sparth House were incredibly accommodating with this - they had the chef look over my dietary requirements and we had plenty of discussions over how the menu could be tweaked and what food could be prepared specifically for me to ensure I still had plenty to eat.

We had several comments from our guests about how lovely Sparth House was, how professional and friendly the staff were and how nothing was too much trouble, as well as how good the food was.

Thank you to everyone at Sparth House that made our wedding day so special - I wish we could do it all again!
