I phoned Austins, as they had a toy I wanted for my grandson. The service was excellent - they even phoned me back, when they thought we'd been cut off. Having confirmed that they had the toy in question, I ordered online from them and, despite Christmas rapidly approaching, the package arrived, well wrapped, 2 or 3 days later. Thank you so much. Nice toy shop, great selection.

Really good toy shop with all the favourite toys available: playmobil, lego, sylvanian families, Disney, star wars, power rangers, barbie, hot wheels, board games, plastic models, educational toys, the list goes on...

The staff are always friendly but don't really ever engage or approach customers, and they definitely don't try to actively sell the products which is a shame.

The prices are well over competitive retail I'm afraid and you should always be able to find an item cheaper elsewhere, but they will sometimes price match which is good. Just ask for details. They do have a great airfix model area with a great selection of all sorts of stuff including the glue, brushes and paints that you need.

My children love going there, but we hardly ever buy. In summary, this store could be THE best store in the town but they don't seem to want to grasp the opportunity.

Great selection of toys at reasonable prices. The kids love it, and they stock all the must-have toys as well as some more obscure but quality items. Must have been here many dozens of times, and we still love it (even if it does empty my wallet!)

This isn't a huge toy store, but they have a great range so it's a perfect place to pick up a gift .. for someone of any age .. especially if they like unusual soft toys or are a Lego fiend.
They have some wonderful educational toys and games and the little 3D modelling kits were brilliant.
It can be a tadge more expensive than the average supermarket but worth a look as you are likely to find something a bit different here.

The fact that a large well stocked toy store exists is amazing especially now the large argos has gone. A bright easy to find and access store with helpful staff.

The window displays are always good too. And the pricing is competitive but we don't mind paying a little extra to have a real toy store.

I would award 5 stars but the shop often feels empty or not enough is going on. All the staff are nice but sometimes the younger ones look a little bored or talk too much to their friends or have phones.

The shop needs some child friendly music and movement to give life to the store.
Maybe some local magicians or story time could be a thing. Make a designated space to have people or schools / clubs doing things like crafts and toy demos which might help lead to sales and help with community.

A good safe space to take the kids.
