I have driven past a few times. Today I fancied a cake and drove from Winchester to try Burbide's. What a treat. we bought a lardy cake, coffee and walnut cake and a bacon bap. This bakery and its food is fantastic. I look forward to visiting again.

I’m not usually one to leave a review but I’ve been going here every now and then for a treat for years now, since I was about 10 until today being 24! Today I went in and there was a customer being quite rude to the staff. Thought the least I could do is leave an honest review about how excellent they are here.

The food is always incredible. Pastry is amazing, bread is beautiful, and the sweet treats are absolutely massive. I’ve never had food I didn’t enjoy. Whatever you get from here, you’ll love it. My personal favourites are the doughnuts, bread, and the sausage and bacon pastry things (no idea what they’re called, but the person serving me always knows what I’m on about).

The staff have always been so lovely. Whatever their hiring practice is it clearly works. I have anxiety and struggle ordering food. They’ve always been so kind and patient, no matter how busy the shop is (and it does get busy, for good reason!). It doesn’t matter who is serving me, they’ve all absolutely fantastic.

The prices are decent too. They could probably get away with charging a lot more for the quality and size of what they sell, but obviously I’m glad they don’t so I can buy more!

If you want anything specific, you’re best going early as they do sell out quickly. But everything they do is amazing, so if you go later you’ll still end up with something nice.

The only thing they could possibly improve on is having prices a bit clearer. This would just help to be able to budget and make buying an easier experience for people like me who get anxious and like to plan these things out. But, as I say, the workers are so lovely that not having the prices clear really isn’t the end of the world at all. There is no barrier to just asking!

Overall, a true 5*. I’d recommend going here to everyone (and often do)

Go early! I have popped in on and off over the years, usually during the week and later in the day. This Sat I went nice and early, joined the already substantial queue and got to see their full range of offerings. The service was quick, patient and really helpful. A real joy to experience. So lucky to have this great institution nearby!

The only stuff I wouldnt recommend is the brownie, too much sugar and I am a person who love sweets.
I'd say the burger is kinda overpriced, but even without veggies its top tier compared to other burgers around.
Why 5 star with negative comment?
Cuz these are the only - i can think of that place. Everything else is cheap and tasty af.
Doesn't matter if u live in Andover or just passing by, this place is a must to go.

Absolutely love this place all the ladies who work there are always smiling and seem happy in their work. As for the cakes they are huge and taste lovely. I sometimes have to place an order for their sausage/bacon baps which are lovely and take them to my daughters work in Barton Stacey that's how much people love bakery.

A beautiful little family bakery. The absolute yummiest. Delicious bread rolls, scrumptious cakes (my absolute favourite is the carrot cake) and the best bacon and sausage baps. One of our favourite family treats. We love the fact there is a live feed of what is happening in the back/kitchen. The vintage ovens on view are a wonderful piece of history. The staff are always so kind and friendly. Can't wait until our next visit.

Excellent bakery. Portion sizes are enormous which makes everything real value for money.
The food is fresh, tasty and the cakes, patisseries are to die for.
