Such a beautiful place, we got married here on the 3rd Aug. We are lost for words it's so magical, a true Northumberland venue for a Northumbrian wedding. Cottages in the valley were amazing too. College Valley Estate staff are so helpful.

Had a fantastic weekend here for Dale and Mandy's wedding. The scenery is amazing with loads of wildlife around you and the Venue, Hostel and Cottages are great. I would recommend for an intimate wedding or just a weekend holiday away from it all.

What an amazing place. We got married here in September and it was everything we had ever wanted for our wedding. Getting married here meant that we were able to set it up how we wanted and use our own choice of suppliers. College valley is such a stunning place- what a great setting for a wedding, and so private as well. Catherine was great and very accommodating especially as we had to postpone our wedding from May to September due to covid. Thanks again for everything, we will be back many a time to stay in the valley's cottages I'm sure 🙂

We had our wedding here in May 2018. I can't explain the perfection of this location for a wedding. The setting is just amazing, views are breathtaking, so many guests at our wedding commented on how the location was perfect for us as we are out walking in the hills regularly and to have our wedding with such views was truly amazing. Catherine Crees was a star from start to finish she was so welcoming and helpful giving us ideas and suggestions, she provided a wedding pack which gave a large list of local suppliers that was so helpful as we had never planned anything like this before. We did not feel pressured at all. Catherine was in touch regularly throughout our planning process offering help and guidance. We rented the hall for four days so this meant we had plenty to set up and decorate without rushing and also a day after to clear everything up. We added a marquee to the side which we had our meal and wedding dance in. We got married in the cuddystone hall which is a lovely building, it was very handy having the hall open right through the night to allow the older generation to escape from the party and take a breather. Its great how you can take the location and do everything your own way and organize everything exactly how you want it, if you were to have a wedding in a hotel the personal touch is taken away, you can certainly make it your own and unique! We had glorious weather which made the day even more perfect but whatever the weather this location is just so magical! We stayed in Coldburn cottage on the wedding night and the night after, it was so nice to relax up in the valley for a couple of days and hide away from everyone and having no WIFI up there is just perfect. People enjoying themselves without a phone in hand and the use of internet is a rare occurrence these days so i think its nice to keep it that way. We wish we could celebrate our day again as the time just flew by. Here's a few pictures of our day! Thanks so much, Shirley & Hamish (Mr & Mrs Murray)

I was honoured when MIllie & Adam asked me to shoot their wedding at Cuddystone Hall, near Wooler, Northumberland. I travelled down from Fife, Scotland to this amazing part of the country. It was my first time here and I was in awe. Surrounded by such amazing, beautiful landscape. I can see why these two married here. The day started off with a beautiful, low key ceremony with just the couples close family around. This followed with some lunch and cake. We went outside for some of the formal photographs with the beautiful countryside making an amazing backdrop to the image. The venue itself is clean and a good size situated in an amazing part of the country. The views are just incredible. You have to see it to believe it. Thank you for having me. Beautiful wedding venue with lovely views of Northumberland National Park (when the weather is lovely)
The hall itself is fairly small but it does have a kitchen. I was at a wedding very recently and the couple hired a marquee which was placed to the side of the building.
Beautiful place to have a wedding reception but just bare in mind how to get guests to and from the venue, a lot of organising!

Most superb setting for our wedding!. Hall is clean and has well kitted out kitchen.
Provided the intimate wedding venue we were looking for & we feel blessed to have been able to get married here.
