We got married at Ellingham Hall in September 2024. We had an amazing wedding from arriving on the Friday night until we left on the Sunday morning. We had a magical time, this was only possible due to the hard work of the team. Our family and friends have all said it was the best wedding they have ever attended, even my 86 year old grandma. We would like to say a special thank you to Matt (deputy manager) he was absolutely amazing and without him the experience would not have been as good. We had a couple of small issue which he gave suggestions how to fix straight away and resolved them all himself, this meant him moving things from the chapel to the ceremony room. He was available for us whenever we needed him. He made the wedding experience stress free and magical. Thank you all at Ellingham Hall for making the Blackburn-Wood wedding so unforgettable, memories we will cherish for a lifetime.

We stayed here to attend a wedding. The hotel is easy to find if you use Google maps. The ground a lovely with some specimen trees. There's a stream running along one edge with several small weirs and a stone bridge. The hotel or should I call it a house is very well presented and provides for an excellent wedding venue. There are a variety of different guest rooms of all different sizes. We had the kitchen maids room. This isn't the biggest of rooms but is well appointed and most important it was clean. I have posted some photos. There are several rooms to the ground floor including a dining room. 2 lounge's and a bar. For the wedding there is a good sized chapel. In the cellar there's a game's room with pool darts, foosball and music. The staff are friendly and very helpful. So to the bad points. Nothing major at all but with all these old hotels maintenance could be better. I would recommend Ellingham Hall.

After working in the wedding industry myself for over 10 years, we wanted a unique venue away from our home town.

On viewing Ellingham, we knew it was our perfect wedding venue, especially as it was an exclusive dog friendly venue - our 2 MUSTS!

Ellingham's 2-night wedding experience was faultless. The team accommodated our jam-packed schedule, full of entertainment and fun.

The staff were extremely attentive. A special thanks to Beth, who worked hard all weekend, and nothing was too much. The GM David also went above and beyond, from helping serve food to even asking my husband if he'd like his wedding gift from me (a framed painting of our dog) hanging in the main entrance of the hall - great touch!

All of our guests enjoyed their time, with many stating it's the best wedding they have ever been to!

For us it was perfect from start to finish, everything ran absolutely perfectly and nothing was too much for the Ellingham team!

Honestly thank you so much, it wasn't our dream wedding... it exceeded that by a million! Truly magical!

We recently were married here.
What else can I say other than wow, it's the most beautiful wedding venue I've ever had the pleasure of seeing.
The rooms are stunning, it's truly a one of a kind.
We wanted somewhere which was exclusive, this also felt exclusive. Very high end designer decor. We loved that there was an option to stay over with all of the guests the night before. And that the hall is yours to do with what you like for the time you're there.
Food was exquisite, every meal was utterly delicious, wouldn't change a thing.
All the staff were incredibly attentive, helpful, smiley. Just a joy to be around.

Ellingham Hall is a beautiful wedding venue with lots of space. You can hire the whole venue for your wedding and choose from a variety of settings for the different aspects of your special day. Plenty of parking. There are plenty of comfortable seats around the venue if you need to escape from the noise!

The rooms are beautiful and the cottages in the grounds are beautifully furnished. They have their own parking area, free WiFi and internet. The cottages also have a utility room and kitchen. The Hall staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

The grounds are lovely too and there are several peacocks living there.

What can I possibly say. There are no words to describe how beautiful this venue is! Everyone commented on how grand and beautiful the whole building is. Not only the downstairs but each bedroom is also beautifully decorated, each room is unique which adds to the charm.

While you are there, you truly are Lord and Lady of the Manor. One of the reasons for booking Ellingham Hall was exclusivity, for the duration of your stay, there is only you, your guests and Ellingham staff. This is amazing as you know everyone and don't have to worry that you'll bump into another bridal party (as you may in some hotels or other venues)

We stayed for 2 nights and the night before is a great chance for guests to get together and mingle before the wedding day. The staff tend to blend into the background and you barely even notice them being there.

All staff I spoke to were lovely, polite, bubbly and easy to get along with. Nothing was too much trouble and they'd always check things with myself and my husband before doing anything that wasn't in our original plan.

The whole day was planned to perfection as we had many emails and meetings with the hall beforehand. I sent MANY MANY emails while planning the wedding and each one was responded to very quickly. The payments are paid monthly which is much nicer than paying it all in one lump sum.

I can't fault Ellingham Hall at all. It is a truly wonderful venue and we had a lovely experience. I would 100% recommend Ellingham Hall to anyone.

We were married at Ellingham Hall last month and we have spoken to each other and friends and family about the 2 days we spent there every day since!

We were always dubious about the extra expense of hosting a 2 day wedding but it was absolutely worth every penny spent and although Ellingham itself is a magical venue, this is in every part to do with David, Debbie, Wendy, Alicia and the AMAZING staff at the hall. No request was too much and every one of our and our guests' needs were attended to from the moment we stepped through the door to the moment we left.

We have had endless comments from guests about the food which was absolutely divine. Everything from the canapés to the wedding breakfast to the Full English the day after was cooked to perfection and you can tell that a great deal of thought and dedication goes into the work John, David and all the chefs do.

Every single member of staff is an absolute credit to the team and it was just the little things like David the General Manager serving me and my bridesmaids a Bellini in the Bridal Suite the Morning of or Debbie the Head of Weddings calming down a very anxious Groom that show just why these guys are three time winners of the 'Best Wedding Events Team' in the North East. The team manage to run the day without a hitch whilst not being overbearing at all, it simply felt like we were at home!

A huge thank you again to all of the events team and staff, our only qualm is that we can't do it all over again!

We have had the pleasure of shooting multiple weddings at Ellingham Hall and we always have an absolute blast! The venue offers so much to it's couples. Plenty of rooms for people to stay over which are decorated beautifully. A gorgeous ceremony room. Loads of indoor and outdoor space for wedding guests in all weathers. Stunning backdrops for beautiful wedding portraits and the food is fantastic! The staff are so helpful and nothing at all is too much trouble. We love Ellingham Hall and cannot wait to work alongside this stunning wedding venue.
