I’m Mexican and was really looking forward to have some home made tacos with a green salsa. I added 3 stars because the service is good, I got fresh tomatillos and jalapeños. The down side was the tortillas and the totopos… they have a weird taste, I don’t know how else to describe it, but they are “chemically”. They feel dry, when I tried to heat them, they get hard too fast. I was very excited about the tortillas specially and was very disappointed. 😭 All the rest, was good but definitely not buying tortillas or totops from here again.

I have being customers for year now and unfortunately the products and customer service are getting bad, for example The tortilla packs are never 1 kg, some weight 900g or less or they don't send complete the order.
When you try to call them to see easy solution they ask you to send a email and wait for days to recive answer.
I really wish they fix this because I like they tortillas but they are making me to try another companys.

Great company selling great authentic Mexican products. Once you taste the fresh Tortillas you can never go back to the long life ones. The despatch team are also very helpful.

I ordered some spice mix, some corn tortillas and some tomatillo sauce from this firm for a family wake. The carrier delivered late, so I refused the package as it is perishable food. The company won't refund for the corn tortillas as they are claiming they were good for 5 days and it says that on their website. I've shown them the law for consumer contracts, had to open a paypal dispute, and may have to go to small claims court. This whole affair has wasted several hours of my time. And, I had to pivot the catering for a lunch after a funeral. It was not so cool chile.

It is unfortunate. I grew up in the American west and eating and cooking Mexican food, and just don't feel that I can give this business my patronage. It frankly would have been easier to grow the tomatillos myself.

Bought a Cool Chile Co product which was rancid. As in, the oil in the product had gone rancid. Emailed to raise this issue but weirdly heard nothing at all despite nudging. From a QC perspective this was concerning

Such great company and super helpful friendly staff, especially for a last minute collection. The Totopos are fab and their larder cupboard supplies help make the very best chilli. A Meera Soda article recommended them and so glad she did - the spices and ingredients they offer are great for both vegan and regular dishes.

Came to chat about using their tortillas for a quick samosa recipe. The gentleman didn’t think that their fresh tortillas would be suitable. Even though I was ready to buy and pay, he kindly gave me some complimentary ones to try and assess if it worked for my recipe. Anyway, he was right. It didn’t work. But nevertheless, it’s great to know where I can get fresh tortillas from and from genuinely nice people.

I was awake at 3am craving birria de res and consome, placed my order on the website and was able to collect the same day. Emailed customer service and they replied my order was ready to collect on the day. 5 stars!! Amazing mexican grocers in west london finally!! Fresh mexican grocery with so many chiles available.
