Have played River course frequently over past few years and always enjoyed the experience. Today slightly different due to bad manners of green keeping staff. I appreciate they have a job to do but they continuously parked their machines with engines running only a short way away from where we were playing our shots. They seem to take very little notice of where we were playing from and to until eventually one machine mowed straight over my ball and left it in a very sorry state. .

The River Course: I would highly recommend playing at Aldebough golf course, the river course. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which makes for a great overall experience. The pricing is also really fair, which is an added bonus. The course is always in excellent condition, no matter the season, which shows how well it is maintained. The course is very generous, which makes it a great place for players who are still learning the game or for mid-handicappers who want to work on their mid-irons. The layout of the course is perfect for players of all skill levels. Overall, Aldebough golf course, the river course, is an excellent choice for golfers of all levels. With friendly staff, fair pricing, and a well-maintained course that is perfect for learning and practicing, it's definitely worth a visit.

Played at a fund raising event. Challenging links style course that was in fantastic condition and a pleasure to play. All staff and members were very welcoming. For any keen golfer this should be one of the must play destinations.

The 9 hole course is fantastic value for money, great for beginners, members are friendly there to which is a nice change, just beware of adders in the warmer months.

I have to say straight away that I am a member of the club. And I feel more than lucky to say that. The golf course is set in the beautiful Suffolk Coast area and I objectively rate it as highly as any course I have played in the UK, and recently I have been privileged to have played some of the best. It is an inland links, with a variety and quality of hole as good as any. And it is a very hard test, that easily copes with the advances of golf in the 21st Century. There are plans for Martin Ebert to come and work the front nine as Harry Coly was allowed to do 100 years ago and which could even improve this masterpiece. The back nine is wonderful and hair-pullingly difficult. And the 14th, one of the best holes in the country, passes the home of one of our greatest ever composers, Benjamin Britten. The quality of the course is equal to the quality of his remarkable contribution to classical music. Across the road is the River Course, a test and pleasure for golfers of all abilities. The pro staff, James, Simon and Keith are the friendliest, kindest and best I have ever encountered. It is a joy to to be there every time. I hope you too can experience this gem.

Warm welcome in the pro shop where we were made aware of the long sock rule and had to purchase two pairs of long socks at £20 each………expensive but decent socks. (Secretly quite liked the eccentricity of this). Played two player singles on the championship course which was superbly well maintained and a good challenge to all standards of golfer. We both played well and scored 36 and 38 points but the problem comes that on the post round analysis, it was hard to remember many individual holes. It was a little repetitive with continuous long par 4 requiring a long second shot into a well protected green with many bunkers. In summary, lovely course and a good time was had but it was not a memorable round and on reflection, it was an expensive round in relation to other courses I have played. Glad I’ve been, but not one I would rush back to.

The same as Aldeburgh Golf Course in Googlemaps. Although a fantastic course, in land links with terrific hard fairways and fast greens. Challenging but great fun. A must visit if you're in the area.

Interesting golf course. No par 5's which is odd but really, so what? The course is quite long enough and a severe test in windy conditions. Quite wide fairways with well placed bunkers. Heather and gorse line the fairways of this quick draining heathland course making it easy on the eye. Excellent greens. The Clubhouse is rather old fashioned but in keeping with the atmosphere. The course is predominantly 2 ball play. Check before you book, and you will need long socks if you wear shorts!
