My wife and I were pleasantly surprised upon arriving at this hotel. While the exterior is a bit, well … bland, stepping inside felt like discovering a hidden gem. The interior is a warm, inviting retreat with striking oversized wooden beams, plush sofas, and grand fireplaces that radiate charm. It checked all the right boxes for coziness and comfort. ||Our Signature Room was spacious and thoughtfully designed, filled with elegant, unexpected touches. Loved the empty milk bottle that you can fill up from the floor. Now that’s new!||Great pool and jacuzzi. I enjoyed a leisurely swim pre check-in while my wife sat peacefully in the bar with a glass of wine. Getting back to my swim, While we adore children, we appreciated the hotel’s considerate offering of kid-free time slots. ||As for dinner, we had a wonderful meal in a beautifully styled fining room. As for the restaurant service - it was perfect. Emily, our server, stood out with her attentive, warm, and professional demeanor. She truly elevated our evening, making it unforgettable. ||I appreciate other reviews of this hotel can be s bit hit and miss. As for my stay, it was definitely a hit. We would certainly stay here again.

Our stay at the Aztec hotel was supposed to be a relaxing stay for a birthday treat. I contacted the hotel a week ago stating the issues that we had, but unfortunately have not heard anything back.

I booked this stay back in December and we visited in February. I booked a package which included use of the spa, one 25 minute treatment per person, breakfast and a £30 allowance towards dinner per person. Once this was booked, I received an email to let me know I’d been booked in for our treatments at a certain time and to let them know what time I wanted to book breakfast and dinner. I did this by calling up one day after this was booked.

Upon arriving last week, I was asked if I wanted to book breakfast. As mentioned I’d already made this reservation a couple of months ago over the phone. I booked in for an hour and half later instead, as this was all they had available.

We arrived at the spa, unfortunately, we weren’t given the option to choose our treatments. However on my original reservation email, there were six treatment options available.

In the evening, we arrived at the restaurant for our 7:30 reservation. We were informed that I didn’t have a booking. Fortunately, they had a table available, but as this was a birthday treat I know I’d made sure to book everything in advance.

We visited the spa facilities again before checking out, and found that the whirlpool was out of use.

Although these are fairly small issues they did ruin what was supposed to be a relaxing stay.

Absolutely phenomenal experience! From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable—truly a cut above. The spa facilities were exceptional, offering pure relaxation and indulgence. The food was absolutely fantastic, with every dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Every detail was handled with care, making the entire stay unforgettable. I genuinely cannot wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an extraordinary hotel and spa experience! The hotel has a subtle ship theme throughout which is fantastically done.

We spent one night at Aztec and found the room and facilities to be very modern with clever and reusable aspects such as refillable milk and water jugs for every room as well as bins with separate compartments for your paper/recycling and your general waste. We used the pool facilities for a small fee which were well-lit, hygienic and had a lovely atmosphere. We did not dine in the restaurant but did have room service. We found the food to be really well cooked and value for money. Parking on the weekends was complimentary. With no extra fees at the end of our stay, we’re able to just express check out at 11 am and go about our day

This is my third attempt to find a regular hotel in the Bradley Stoke area for us to stop in when visiting our daughter. We'll carry on looking. While not particularly impressed by the Mecure or Doubletree, the price reflected what they offered. I had higher hopes paying more to stay at the Aztec.||There is no footpath out of the carpark to the hotel. If a car is exiting, you're left waiting until they have passed.||On check-in we were asked to book a time slot for breakfast each day. It's not something we've ever done at bigger hotel before. It's the sort of thing I expect to do at a small B&B! Wanted an extra £15pp to use the pool/spa/gym area. We weren't planning on using it anyway, thankfully. It looked busy and littered with wet towels.||Room booked was a 'superior', it looked pretty standard. Bathroom was dated. I'm not a fan of shower curtains, and the flush was playing up on the toilet. No water or milk in the room. Empty carafes in the fridge for you to fetch your own from machines in the corridor. No mention of where the machines were... Water was obvious, as it was near the lift, milk took some finding. Walls thin. The hotel wasn't responsible for the guests in the next room, but we could hear them clearly at 11:30pm, especially when they went into the corridor to take photos/video for their socials. ||Bar area looked nice. Pricey, but we consider that normal for hotel bars. We did see several guests bringing back drinks from nearby shops. ||Came back on our 2nd evening to a plastic bag outside the door, filled with towels and a few other bits. The room hadn't been serviced. A note explaining about housekeeping staff shortages had been pushed under the door It said to contact them by 1pm if we still wanted the room servicing. As we had been out all day, we missed that deadline. The apology voucher for a drink each was welcome, but we would have rather come back to a freshened room.||Breakfast decent enough. Each hot item had a lid on it, with little space to put it down while you served yourself. It makes it slow to get a plate of food. Mushrooms tasted odd on the first morning, but were fine the second day.||Thoroughly underwhelmed.

Had wonderfully 2 day spa break with my sister booked for the first time with spabreaks.com. After reading some previous reviews would like to add it was faultless. It had big warm pool jaquzzi and steam rooms. The relaxation lounge had free herbal teas smoothies and biscuits. The hotel itself was modern and spotless throughout .The bedroom had USB charges and a fridge in addition to usual tea and coffee facilties with a milk and water machine in the corriidor. All the staff were friendly from the hard working cleaners restaurant staff and reception . I would definitely recommend the food in the restaurant which was spot on and lovely to see a big open fire while eating dinner.

We had a rocky start to our spa weekend away when there were no robes in our room and we were asked to wait in the (long) check-in queue to talk to the reception team about it, despite the fact we had just gone through waiting in the queue to check-in in the first place. Luckily a member of the cleaning team went out of their way to help us! Other than the missing robes, the rest of our trip was very enjoyable. Lovely facilities and a fantastic restaurant. Staff are polite and friendly.
