I've not been in in person but we get a weekly alternating fruit & veg box which is fantastic. I haven't really eaten fruit in years but this has changed my mind! Genuinely a level above what you'd get in the supermarket. The week we received a blood orange and a punnet of grapes which were absolutely divine - no idea what type they were but they were almost black and so sweet! Highly recommended

the owner of the shop with the pink hair seriosuly looks ANNOYED when customers enter the shop, walked in the store recently to buy a couple of items I would have happily payed the overpriced prices they put and as soon as the pink haired lady looked at me in a disgusted way I found it physically impossible to leave even 1 cent there. Get a course on customer service and stop being such a terrible presence in the shop.

EDIT in response to the owner: I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO ENTER YOUR SHOP FOR multiple times. I’ve seen you gabby multiple times and each single time you have the same annoyed attitude, as if yoy are bothered by people entering your shop. Not once you say hi, hello or even a mere “thank you.”

I’ve also entered the shop when that rude Indian guy was working there, who was very bothered when he had to interrupt his phone call to help me as I was looking for something I couldn’t find.

Simply said, every single time I’ve been in proximity to your shop my energy gets sucked away from every single employee working there like a bunch of dementors taking away any drop of happiness in the world.

Basil & Tom's is the one of the prettiest shops to visit on Churchfield Road. It's so colourful, a feast to the eye, to peruse their ever changing stock, they also have a great playlist. Gabby, the owner goes out of her way to source the perfect kitchen cupboard staples for the household. Gabby and her partner share a great love of food. They stock fruits, vegetables, freshly baked bread and so much more. If you need a special culinary gift for a host. You will find the perfect bottle of olive oil, chocolate, jam, tapanade, cheese or meat. At Christmas they supply the best turkeys. And if you're feeling peckish they have a daily rotation of sausage rolls, pastries, sandwiches, soups and salt-beef bagels. They offer weekly vegetable + fruit box deliveries and custom gift baskets. I always leave with something very delicious. Highly recommend shopping on Churchfield Road.

Love this place, so much delicious fruit and veg that taste like they have the sunshine locked in. Recently expanded to next door to include charcuterie, cheese and fresh meat and fish. Lots to buy every time you come in, as there is such a nice wide selection of new things to try. This is a weekly must for me to visit!

Brilliant local grocers and deli stocking HG walters meats, lovely fresh baked breads and a brilliant selection of veg. The deli has so many lovely luxuries and little food items and is great for gifts and special occasions. I’ve had a veg box subscription here as a gift for family for a few months now and it’s great. Highly recommend!
