I had booked a family room that consisted of 1 double bed and 2 single beds for myself, my wife, and my autistic daughter (15).||Upon arrival, we were told that we had been given a room with 1 double bed and 1 “camp/z-bed”. This is clearly not what we had booked, but the receptionist on duty was clearly not interested in resolving the problem, hence my anger and frustration (apology was given to the receptionist). The receptionist clearly stated that the camp/z-bed is only suitable for up to the ages of 12, which I quite agree, so why was no one at the hotel interested in resolving the issue?||Instead I was told that I either use the camp/z-bed or I pay for another room for my daughter. I’ve ended up paying an additional £156.60 for a single room, which was £29.10 more than I paid for the “family room”, I have then had to sleep in that room for 2 nights as my autistic 15 year old daughter is in no way able to stay in a room on her own. This has completely ruined a family break away together.||What also was disappointing was that the operations manager came to the desk to liaise with the receptionist but did not even have the courtesy to speak to us directly, except to tell the receptionist that there were no staff rates available and to give him a shout if the receptionist needed a hand. ||Later that evening, I asked a different receptionist for a small side knife as we had a small cake/tart (size of a side plate) we wanted to cut up to have with a coffee before bed. I was told in no uncertain terms (shoulders shrugged) that it is the hotel policy not to give out plates or cutlery, etc and that we should be eating the food in the hotel and not our own. I completely understand this policy, but for something as small as I described seems crazy not to allow, especially as I was already a disgruntled customer.||Our rooms were not fully serviced the next day, beds were not made and the towels not changed (even though they were in the bath).||To top it all on check out, my wife (I was not there on check out) was informed that we owed 60p as the receptionist had quoted us £156.00 for the room when it should have been £156.60, my wife then paid the “additional” 60p. With the greatest respect, petty does not begin to describe this. Had I been there, I would have told them that we had indeed paid £156.60 as my banking app showed this. What actually happened was that the receptionist had inputted the payment amount incorrectly (£156 instead of £156.60). Someone at the hotel must have noticed this error as a refund of 60p was given on Monday.||All in all, it was a very disappointing stay. I am respectfully asked for the refund of £156.60 for the additional room I had to pay for, but was completely refused by upper management. I had originally said that I was not going to post a review, but in light of the way I have been treated, I felt I had no option but to do so, as the very least of making others aware!||Once they have your money, they don't care so watch out!!!

Lovely hotel! Would definitely stay again. On the same street as all the shops. The staff are incredibly friendly. Room service is excellent. My son was poorly so ordered a lot to our room and came within 20 mins. Room was spotless. Cannot fault.

Fantastic food (so a huge thumbs up for the chefs) very well priced and good size portions. Service was very good, too. When booking make sure you tell them you have a dog and they will seat you in the dog friendly area. We shall definitely be returning.

We did not stay at the Ship but met friends here for lunch. We thought for a hotel the menu was limited and a shade overpriced. The food was nice but not exceptional The. Service was efficient but the staff lacked any charisma . Would have lunch elsewhere in Weybridge when we meet up again

Nice hotel, pretty big - loads of rooms, close to an airport, but the noise stopped at 10pm, so it will fine to sleep through the night. ||Staff were great, bar is good, as is restaurant. We arrived after 6pm, and were leaving early, so easy to check in and out. ||Modernised rooms were lovely. Would stay again.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located in the town centre with it’s own car park. A good choice of food is offered for the buffet breakfast. The staff are pleasant and helpful. I have been visiting this hotel regularly since 2018 and would happily visit again.

I throughly enjoyed my stay at 'The Ship Hotel' There is parking on site, it had a lovely cosy feel and customer service was great. Plenty of selection for breakfast, and thank you to the waitress who was warm and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Would defo' stay again at some point.
