Blackwell Grange was the perfect venue for our wedding and truly exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was special. We were looking for a rustic venue that could hold everything in one place, and Blackwell Grange had it all.

The Thatch Barn was absolutely stunning, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere, and the smell of the open fire added an unforgettable touch to the experience. The Potting Shed was a dream for the bridal party to get ready; a comfortable, stylish space that made the morning so enjoyable and stress-free.

The venue’s recommended suppliers were spot on. After doing our own extensive research, we ended up choosing their recommended band, hair and makeup artist, and photographer; all of whom were incredible. It was so reassuring to have a curated list of trusted vendors to work with.

While the catering is in-house and non-negotiable, the team went above and beyond to accommodate all dietary requirements, and the food was exceptional. Portion sizes, which were initially a concern of ours, were generous, and the quality was top-notch. Friends and family couldn’t stop raving about the meals, with many saying it was the best wedding food they’d ever had.

And the pizzas? Unforgettable. They were served in the evening as a delightful twist on traditional canapés (though far from canapé-sized!) and were truly the best we’ve ever had. They even catered to our request of a pesto-based chicken pizza, which I can highly recommend! The staff’s service was impeccable throughout the day, from ensuring all guests were well-catered to, to bringing pizzas around the party so no one missed out.

The Snug was a wonderful place for the grooms’ party in the morning and afterwards, a retreat for guests needing a break, especially for our family members with disabilities. It offered a quiet escape with teas and coffees available, yet still had a window to the main party so guests could feel connected to the festivities.

A couple of practical considerations: there is a strict time limit, with music and the bar ending at 11pm, and guests not staying on-site needing to leave by 11:30pm. Additionally, the venue has a decibel limit due to its rural location, so it’s something to keep in mind when planning your music. That said, none of this took away from our experience; we truly had the best day ever.

A massive shout out to Suzy and her team who, when given any query or issues, dealt with it so quickly and professionally, that we needn't have ever worried.

We can’t recommend Blackwell Grange enough. It’s a refined, charming venue that delivers on every level, with stunning spaces, incredible food, and a fantastic team that ensures your day is unforgettable.

From the moment we set foot in Blackwell Grange we knew it was the venue we wanted to get married in. The lady who showed us around was very passionate and took such an interest in us and it really felt like we would be taken care of.

We came home that evening and decided to book - the booking portal online made it very easy as we found with the rest of the payment process.

Blackwell communicated with us throughout and were always prompt to answer any questions we had.

On the day, we were incredibly impressed with how smoothly everything ran from the table service to the timings. Jevgenijs looked after us and kept everything running on time, we really appreciated the smaller things too - like saving us a plate of canapes while we had photos taken.

The food was absolutely delicious, we had many compliments on this.

We also stayed on site with family and friends which was wonderful, especially as we could all have breakfast together the next morning.

Nothing was too much to ask and our day couldn't have gone any better. It is an expensive venue, but for us it was absolutely worth the cost.

As a wedding photographer, I visit many wedding venues around Warwickshire and Blackwell Grange really is such a fantastic setting for a wedding. The staff strike the perfect balance of being attentive and organised making sure the day runs seamlessly whilst remaining subtle and creating a really relaxed atmosphere. From a photography perspective, the venue is a joy to photograph. Every corner is beautiful and the thatched barn really is something special. Blackwell Grange was the most perfect location for my October wedding. The whole team were so caring, thoughtful and extremely helpful. The entire place is gorgeous and I couldn’t fault a thing. They catered to all of mine and my husbands needs and will forever recommend them!

Got married there. In short, everything was perfect.
The staff was lovely, the events team bent backwards to sort out anything we asked, and the food was incredible even though we picked the cheapest package, the guests couldn't stop raving about it.
We had plenty of couples events prior to the wedding to show the venue to friends and family, and I recommend going to the tasting event as it is a great way to try the food and see how the service is done during a typical wedding breakfast.
The team only reached out when they needed something from us but were very quick to reply to any questions or concerns we had.
My only gripe would be that one of the events team managers walked around all day telling people off about the many rules, which is fine in itself, rules are here for a reason, but doing with a smile wouldn't hurt. But all in all, that didn't take away from the amazing day.
If you can afford it, book the accommodation, the rooms and the breakfast are amazing and well worth the money.
