Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were part of a coach trip stay after the theatre in Manchester. Quick check in with very friendly staff. Spacious twin room, clean and tidy with tea and coffee making facilities. Spacious bathroom with bath and shower, also very clean.|Dinner and Breakfast served buffet style we hot, well presented and a good choice and well presented. Tea and coffee and a toaster.|Live entertainment with a Michael Bublé tribute and he was a good singer. All round good time for us four friends.

Skills mystery tour group... easy check in even with a large group.|Room, clean, tidy and comfortable. Spoke to manager about a couple of things that she will be sorting them, no problems.|Food .. both meals were really good. Especially the desserts, I think I tried them all, well 3 of them. Absolutely delicious and I'm a Baker and critical on cakes.|All of the team we spoke to were friendly, helpful and professional. |We had a nice walk into Standish too.|Thank you for being our mystery hotel

Great location, very close to motorway. Car parking available. Dog friendly. Large room. Clean, tidy snd quiet. Newly refurbished maybe? Very close to good places to walk the dogs. Live entertainment . It DID get cold at night, but I just took duvet off the other bed in room, sorted. Shower was hot and powerful! Didn’t use the TV, but had complimentary coffee in room. Breakfast was delicious- you have to pay first and get a voucher if you’ve not pre-booked. All in all, this was comfortable, clean snd great value and nothing like some of the previous reviews. No problem recommending

The rooms were lovely and clean and can tell its recently been renovated. The hotel is lovely. Lily on reception last night was lovely and ever so helpful, couldn't have helped us more. Would highly recommend and stay again. Shame about the hotel not having a pool and photos displayed of it though.

Myself & my daughter stayed at the hotel as part of a Theatre trip.|The reception was efficient & welcoming.|Our room was large, very clean and comfortable with all the amenities.|Our evening meal was delicious and the chef was particularly helpful as my daughter is coeliac. He went out of his way to explain the gluten free options & had prepared a special dessert for her. Again at breakfast there were gluten free options.|Would recommend this hotel .|Special thanks to the chef.

Hotel in a good location. Start with the important info first.....the bar closese at 10.15/10.30 on a Saturday night 💁🏼‍♂️. The outside looks quite modern and up to date, but thats all. The rooms are from the 1970s/80s but you have new carpet. Good for an overnight stop, when you have had a drink or 6....

Excellent service by the hotel staff particularly chess on reception and Jess and Dave the chef. The room was spacious, clean uncomfortable but cold even when the heating came on with its timer at 7 pm. Jess tried to find us another twin room but as none available she brought us a plug-in electric heater which quickly warmed the room. I choose not to eat wheat cereal so Dave made a bowl of porridge with milk and cream just for me.

Dreadful. Virtually nothing worked. No heating, no hot water, no plug in the sink and the bedside lamp didn't work, either. Nor the kettle. If I recall correctly, nor did the shower. It really was a disaster. I was offered a complimentary breakfast but I didn't have time.||Strongly recommend avoiding until there is confirmation that everything has been brought up to standard.||Shame, as it's quite well placed, just off the motorway, and other Britannia hotels I have stayed in have been fine and good value. This one was definitely not.
