I used to love the charity shops in Alnwick, but it just isn't a pleasant experience any more. I bought a top in here, the lady at the till seemed pleasant, that was fine. On the way out, I spotted a black top that had fallen on the floor. I picked it up, had a look, and then, because I didn't have time and it wasn't my job, I didn't spend ages looking for the hanger to hang it up again. I left it over the rail so it wouldn't get any more dusty.

Next thing, this same lady comes huffing over, clearly angry with me for doing this, puts it back on the hanger, and huffs off. I mean, really, just get a grip. I didn't leave it on the floor in the first place. Just do your job without having some sort of episode next time, or maybe take up floristry or something if it's all too much for you.

I'm just done with the charity shops now. Some staff are great, but others leave a whole lot to be desired. It's ebay for me from now on.

Always a pleasant atmosphere, lots of bargains & a big variety of treasure's. Also with a lovely young woman always singing at the counter who is very helpful to every customer.
