I reset my ps4 and tested it before i took it. I have then taken it here and gave them it to test, after returning expecting a positive outcome, they’ve told me it failed because it doesn’t turn on, as well as the visible scratches which is fair enough because it has been used. What a waste of time, sort your systems out because the hdmi and power cable are brand new so there is no reason for the console not to turn on, i’ve then tested it on my monitor when i’ve got home, and it works perfectly fine.

I went to this place today to sell my Xbox (08.02.2025. Saturday) The female worker told me they couldn’t take it without a controller, so I went back home to get it. When I returned, the same woman then decided that a part of the Xbox was in a condition they couldn’t accept. Annoying, but fine, I accepted it and went home.
Since I couldn’t sell it, I decided to play instead—only to realize that she had taken the power cable, making it completely unusable.
Now I have to make a third trip just to get my own cable back, and of course, the store is closed.
She wasted my time, which is completely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. Intentionally misleading customers and playing games with them is unacceptable.
Taking a customer’s property without consent is a serious matter and will be formally reported.
Would never recommend this place—especially with staff like her.

I've used CeX for years, and I hope it'll be there for many years to come. I mainly visit to bag my favourite nostalgic dvd's because on average you'll pay anything from £1 to £5 for a movie. Absolute bargain. Be prepared to browse for a long time! Why did I give them 4 stars? They ask to scan your CeX card when making a purchase, but as the staff told me, there is no points system, so kind of pointless (no pun intended).

I've used the click and collect service only to be told the items I couldn't collect as they were missing parts and know I have to wait upto 14 days ( it could be more though ) for a refund now I'm without the headphones I want or the money to go and buy another pair won't be coming back

Absolutely disgusted by visit to cex yesterday. Tried to sell my portable dvd player what was priced around £25 on their website for B condition come back 20 minutes later after them testing it for them to say they can’t take it as it has some scratches but yet they can take scratched phones and I asked couldn’t they take it for a C condition which they said no but yet they have a C condition on their website. Took it cash converters they said cex basically could’ve took it as there was no scratches on it and made me loose essentially £15 just cos they didn’t want to take it when they could’ve as there was no scratches on it. Absolutely fuming and disappointed they could’ve took it as there was nothing wrong with it, it worked fine. Other visits haven’t been that bad but this visit just mad how they can take other things what are in a lot worse conditions then that dvd player.

This is a really great busy shop. Great variety of all things technological. A wide selection of games, new and old. Staff are friendly, and they're quick to serve you, providing there's not a queue. This shop has an accessible entrance, and there is minimal on street parking. I purchased a Fitbit Sense from here in immaculate condition, very happy. Cex also has a website where you can order from the comfort of your sofa. Delivery times are pretty quick.
