Good quality plants and knowledgeable nursery staff.
But … Dobbies have stopped recycling plant pots and compost bags. What a shame given how much plastic they generate.
There’s nowhere nearby to drop them off for recycling.

A beautiful garden centre. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The cafe is very good as well.

This time we went just for coffee although we did browse afterwards. I like that they offer fresh fruit. One of the group is coeliac and had the lovely looking and tasting meringue strawberries and cream. It is a shame that the carrot cake is no longer gluten free and so the selection for coeliacs is limited. It is good to see that they have expanded the dog friendly area and have put decent chairs there. It can be busy on the last day of the month as club plus members use up their free drinks vouchers. I would like to see the restaurant walled off from the indoor plant area to give it a more secluded feel and to make it warmer in Winter, hence the 4 stars. The prices are reasonable though the service can be slow at busy times. I have always found the staff helpful and friendly. There is a good selection of seasonal plants and Halloween items for sale. Parking was easy. There are recycling bays for pots and compost bags outside the exit door and Council recycling facilities at the top end of the car park.

Bought 'fresh' Wreath 12 inch for £39.99 with a green tag.. Handmade in Herefordshire by Alina N. It was very obviously NOT fresh. My car floor is covered in needles from the conifer used. Please don t waste your money the market in Winchester sells quite acceptable ones for just £15. Will not be buying one from Dobbies again.
