Absolutely stunning venue - As soon as we walked in, we knew that we wanted to book our wedding at Doxford Barns.

We got married on a Saturday, so had exclusive use from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning and the whole weekend was faultless. The meal at the venue on the Friday was such a lovely touch, and was great way to bring those staying in the cottages together to start the celebrations.

The staff were all lovely, and they did such an amazing job over the weekend. All the food was also incredible. I couldn't recommend Doxford Barns more.

We got married in May of this year. I have to say in terms of the actual wedding day we could not have asked for more, it would be 5 star all the way. We had the most fantastic day and the venue was absolutely beautiful and staff really helpful.

However, in terms of the run up to the wedding this experience was more mixed. In relation to Doxford Barns I would advise couples to read the terms and conditions of the contract very carefully and be aware of price changes by the venue.

In terms of communication particularly in relation to the cottages this could have been better as felt we weren’t getting very clear answers about the booking. This then meant us providing the wrong information to our guests staying in regards to price and causing confusion. It would have been beneficial to view the cottages prior to booking and felt this opportunity was never offered despite asking on visits.

The decision to raise prices and how this was communicated via email was poor and caused lots of unnecessary stress. As with most couples we had a tight budget and felt really let down by Doxford through the decisions made. We did manage to come to a compromise which worked for us and we were appreciative of this. However, by this point it had already but a dampener on the planning process.

We absolutely loved our day at Doxford, it was beautiful and couldn’t have asked for better. However, due to the issues in the run up to the wedding it would make us a little cautious about recommending the venue.

We were at Doxford barns for my niece's wedding October 2021. We stayed at the cottages on site which were of a high standard, comfortable bedrooms, a fully working kitchen and nice clean bathrooms. The wedding venue was fabulous with stunning countryside views. The food was excellent, totally delicious. A good bar, maybe just a little pricey but that would be expected at such a place. The staff and service was also excellent, it couldn't be faulted We stayed from Friday until Sunday, the whole weekend was just perfect. Congrats to Amy & Tom and thank you for letting us share your wonderful wedding weekend.

My husband and I got married at Doxford Barns in early March and the experience was what just what we dreamed of and more. We had a 3 day wedding allowing our closest family and friends to stay with us and enjoy our wedding as a whole weekend.

From the minute we arrived, the staff looked after everything with a genuine love for their jobs, we didn't feel like we were 'just another wedding party'. From the beautiful venue, to the delicious food and fabulous accommodation, we loved everything about Doxford Barns and only wish we could go back and do it all over again!

We had our wedding at Doxford Barns on 19th August 2021. From the initial visit, to questions during covid the team were so attentive. We had a 3 day wedding, nothing was too much to ask or the team. If you're looking for a venue to provide a seamless day with perfect surroundings honestly you've found it here.

We attended a wedding at Doxford Barns and the venue was really beautiful - rustic like where old and new come together. They had Xmas decorations up, which looked lovely and gave a great atmosphere. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed a lot the "sofa" room that they have on one of the sides 🙂 I would recommend this place for events however I cannot comment on price / quality as I was a guest.
