I have taken part in so many of these events and all are run smoothly and without a hitch that I have been to. I was signed up for the Windermere event too that was cancelled in 2022 but the communication up and until the event was thorough. I dare say if the event had gone ahead and there had been casualties there may well have been more bad reviews. Event guidance with mass participation has to be acknowledged. Particularly with participants of varying abilities.

The company cancelled the 2022 Windermere Swim event stating an incompetent interpretation of the weather forecast as the reason. But the organisation and staffing at the event were of very poor quality. They also failed to provide the bad weather contingency that was in their T&Cs. They refused to refund entry fees despite there being no good reason for the event not to take place. Like many, I complained and asked to be refunded and was refused. But the good news is that my credit card company agreed that withholding a refund was unlawful. I made a "Section 75 Claim" and have now been reimbursed in full.

Terrible company. Cancelled the Windermere end to end with 2 hours noticed based on suspicious misinterpretation of predicted wind ( the lake was flat calm all day see photo), took the £200 entry money and ran, no refunds. Deleted entire Facebook discussions on it leaving only the favourable comments of which there were very few. Gave a lot of people the wrong sized hoodies (too small) apparently knowingly. Seem to care very little about customers. Presumably relying on enough naivety out there to fill future events.

If I could give this company nil stars that would be just about right. I raised an issue with them regarding entry to a local event and how due to miscommunication it had resulted with me being excluded from the event. They currently do not provide American Style Customer Service - more in line with an Englishman raising a query in Moscow right now - speak to the hand/brick wall.

Do not give them your time or your money you would regret it.
