Another excellent drive through Escrick Park Estate and Skipwith Common with an alfresco lunch at The Drovers Arms before the drive back. Great to see the bluebells and primroses out. I think we went by a stand of Dawn Redwood that made my one spindly tree look a bit naff.

A lovely hack today in sunny weather. Rideways is a greatly needed and much appreciated facility where people can ride off road. The bonus is the cafe which does lovely food and exceptional home made cakes. Don't miss it!

We got married here in June 2023, and we used the woodland space for our ceremony. It was absolutely magical and the staff on the estate went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly and we had everything in place for our big day. We went here for a VW event, on a Sunday so didn't quite see more than the car field, only stayed about an hour and was still charged £20 for entry.

I use the Rideways and have to say it's worth every penny, every time. Best kept site in Yorkshire in my experience with a selection of jumps and rides to suit everyone from complete novice on a lead rein to professional eventers. The café is great, too.
