Had the trio of cakes: lemon meringue, chocolate praline, and black forest. They were all outstandingly delicious. The black forest cake was the best cake I have ever eaten. They were rich, flavourful, but surprisingly light.

Superb patisserie and friendly owner. We travelled from Cumbria for my partner's birthday and are already planning our next trip South. Thanks Sarah what a treat and we loved your warm welcome, enthusiasm and tasty and beautiful creations. We loved the honeycomb and bergamot dessert and cant wait to try the pig and peach next. Well worth a trip and looking forward to our next visit x

Went to Harwoods this morning to get a treat for a double birthday celebration. We were not disappointed I had the honey and bergamot cheesecake. Absolutely delicious all the flavours were so delicate but well balanced. Will definitely be coming back. Best dessert I have eaten in a long while. If you haven’t been you must go!

I'm not one who usually orders a desert, or has a sweet tooth. Let me say this though, I'm absolutely obsessed with the lemon meringue cake / pie they make here. In fact, I love everything I've tried. You may think it's pricey, but the proof is on the pudding! Any occasion that warrants a celebration? You guessed it, the cakes are coming from here. The service is always really friendly, and they're more than happy to explain absolutely everything about the cakes if you're unsure what to get, or just want more information.

Had the most amazing experience eating these beautifully made cakes! My husband was visiting family in Lancashire and diverted to this lovely shop to buy these! I have been following them on Instagram for a while and took the opportunity to sample these! All the same patisserie are professionally made and the flavours are well balanced. The cherry & pistachio had morello cherries in the middle and surrounded by pistachio cream and had a macaron base as well as a mini one on top! The Bakewell tart was delicious too. Crisp pastry with a good layer of frangipane and a well made raspberry top to complement the tart! My favourite is the mango and passion fruit tart! It was like being in paradise! The flavours were fresh and spot on! The cheesecake was very light and loved the mango purée in the middle!! I loved these cakes and felt like I was on Professional Bake Off and tasting the chefs’ creations!! Will definitely take another opportunity to return to try the rest of the selection!!

We were treated to exceptional desserts here when we visited a mate. Following which we decided we had to have their macarons at our wedding. Sarah was amazing, helped us with flavours and colours to match our chosen wedding theme and of course the perfect texture for the macarons. We have cherry and orange and everyone at the wedding loved them and they looked gorgeous as our table centrepieces. Thanks so much everyone at Harwoods!

OMG! Bought some chocolates for my daughters wedding, a gift of chocolates for my friend and 2 desserts….presentation was exquisite, prices not crazy and taste out of this world! Definitely going back here…if you have not tried and tested, you MUST!😍😍😍
