Drove to this shop from Winslow to drop off a UPS parcel. I remember the shop was busy but very friendly..., hence specially chose to use this shop instead of the one in town. The layout of the shop has improved.
Waiting for my turn to be served - noticing the shopkeeper was very friendly and chatty. However, the smile stopped when it's my turn - very short, sharp and cold answering my enquiry regarding receipt of UPS parcel.
Did I smell? Was I not dressed well enough? Was I not being courteous and respectable? At this stage and age, I couldn't help but thinking: perhaps I am not blond and 'white' enough like the lady customer whom he served before me?! ... OR simply the shopkeeper has a tummy ache?
I meant to look around the shop and spend some money..., I just left! Pity! My fond memory of this shop replaced by frosty 'Impressions'.

I always try and buy cards from here, they're a small business and I'm sure COVID and the restrictions that go with it have taken a real toll this year. Always friendly staff on the tills and a good selection of cards.
