A fantastic range of yarns in lots of different weights are available. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The prices range from very affordable to that little bit extra for something special. My only wish is a more extensive range of needles and hooks, and maybe some pattern books and stitch dictionaries. I buy these items online but would love to support a local retailer.

Such a huge range of stock and customers, and smiley helpful staff....I needed something to decorate blue fir trees on a traffic roundabout, of course......so thank you.....just the job.

An old school emporium of dreams. Yes, online might save a few bob but variety of choice and friendly advice is unmatched at Masons. I needed fabric for some acoustic bass traps; the team didn't flinch at my unusual criteria and I left with a fetching dark blue, breathable material for a very good price. Go to Masons, it'll make you feel better

What a great shop!!! Truly will heaven. I haven't knitted anything for over 20yrs so I wanted to start with something simple. I also needed help choosing the right wool. The ladies that work there were great. Really helpful and patient. I felt less shy about asking for help because they were so nice and they said I can come back anytime if I need assistance with my knitting. Great shop. I'd recommend it to anyone that' wants to start knitting, sewing, crocheting or the like. Packed with goodies and full of colour.

A treasure trove of all that is knitting and crochet with some fabrics too... Folders full of patterns and rows of different types of yarns. Don't be deceived by what you can see in the shop window, this shop goes all the way back. Very helpful ladies too.

This is an Aladin's Cave, with helpful staff. We were looking for suitable fabric for table cloth making.
Masons had plenty of choice at a wide range of prices.
It is pleasing to be able to support a small independent business.
