A friend booked our weekend stay and I got a bit spooked by some of the reviews...which have moved me to leave my own. The bedroom wing is indeed a concrete monstrosity which is best expected and looks completely out of place with the main house, however the rooms are warm and clean and look exactly as promoted on the website, and the Italian Garden which ajoins the house and bedroom wing is lovely (I imagine glorious come spring/summer). Our bathroom looked very new, I loved that the shower knobs were on the far side so no getting cold/hot while adjusting and our room looked out over the land behind which was beautiful even now before spring. Pricing in the restaurant was normal and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We had particularly good banter with Paige over dinner last night. We ended up so busy in the local area that we didn't make it the pool area so can't comment on that. Overall it was a lovely stay and the social areas in the house are beautiful.

Booked for a Wedding Anniversary night away, combined with seeing family. I had read some of the reviews and did have some slight concerns. However I needn’t have worried as we had a lovely experience,|The pool, saunas and hot tub were great. Very clean and had a lot of fun. The changing rooms are compact but that does not detract from the overall experience.|We were half board and found the menu all good, we were very lucky to have been served by Lily who was delightful. Such a positive attitude and a real asset to their team.|Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was hot with lots of choice, so no complaints there either. The only thing I would ask is a better decaf please.|100% would stay again, great value for money and highly recommend.|Final thing, every member of staff was very polite and friendly.

Lovely stay for our Anniversary. A beautiful location the grounds are stunning and we enjoyed walking around the huge woodland area. The staff were really friendly, used the pool in the day and we had a nice meal in the restaurant in the evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and would go back again. It’s located very near to Oxford as well which is a bonus.

We have just left the hotel and had such a wonderful stay. Our room was so clean and comfortable, the food for both dinner and breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious and the swimming pool area was clean and very enjoyable. The staff in the restaurant last night were all so helpful and welcoming. Would really recommend a stay here and we will definitely return!

We recently had our wedding at Milton Hill house it was absolutely perfect! From our very first visit at a wedding fair 2 years ago we loved the venue and booked our date! Throughout the build up our event co ordinator Ellie was just a phone call or email away and responded promptly! No question was too silly, after all you want the day to perfect! Leading up to the big day, we had our menu tasting, final meeting and everything was a breeze to get through. Then we got to the big day itself!

Our On The Day coordinator Tori was amazing and the rest of the staff too. It really did feel like our day! Everything just ran smoothly, more or less on time and it couldn’t not have gone any better. The most perfect day to celebrate love in a lovely setting.

Had a great experience in the Milton Hill restaurant. Being there for work I wasnt expecting too much. But my meal was very good. I was very well advised and served by Lily, Who was polite and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Lily also Took our order with no pen and paper and got the order right. Impressive !

We had a double room on DBB. The room was fine but the service in the restaurant was exceptional. Lily was very attentive and looked after us extremely well. We wanted to take our dessert to our room and she sorted a cover and cutlery so we could do this. The food was also good and reasonably priced too.

Lovely hotel in great grounds and location.
Staff excellent, very helpful and efficient.
Unfortunately the jacuzzi was broken so didn't use spa area, pool quite small.
Room was spotlessly clean, small but perfectly adequate with great bathroom and shower.
Room not serviced over weekend, not enough tea and coffee for whole weekend.
Public areas especially breakfast area needs more attention in cleaning especially around doors and room edges
Breakfast was £12/person, good selection, quality produce, thought it was good value.
Food in restaurant was very good and good prices.service was great.
