The wedding cake Autumn made for us was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever beheld! We met Autumn in person and she couldn’t have been lovelier, and with our colour scheme and a very loose brief from myself she magically created exactly what I had pictured in my head. Elegant, tasteful and just simply gorgeous. All layers were delicious as well and we received so many compliments from everyone on the amazing cake! Many thanks from Roisin and Alex x

Autumn made us the most stunning cake for our wedding in November 2023 - and I’m not being dramatic when I say it was the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth!! We even got to keep the top tier as there was so much of it, so enjoyed it every morning for breakfast for the week after the wedding too which just kept that little bit of magic going. We opted for pistachio & raspberry and a tier of lemon, both went down an absolute treat with our guests, and the little icing models of our pets stole the show. Thoroughly enjoyed the process of choosing our designs etc also, Autumn made the whole thing so easy for us and it honestly felt like meeting up with a friend - she knew what we wanted better than we knew what we wanted.

Where do I begin? Autumn is not only the most exceptional baker, she's an artist. The cake she made for our wedding on Saturday was almost too beautiful to eat. Of course, we did. We chose red velvet and a coffee with hazelnut cream - I ate three slices of the latter on the drive home the next day. Everyone complimented both the flavours and the gorgeous leaf work and beautiful hummingbirds on the top. I'm sorry I didn't get a better photo - still waiting for the proper shots from our photographer. I can't tell you how brilliant it was to work with Autumn - I gave her a basic idea of what I wanted and then she just ran with it. She drove all the way down to London to set the cake up in the morning and just made the whole thing easy and seamless. I wish I could give her more stars. Thank you Autumn - you're amazing!

I had a very disappointing experience with this cake business. I canceled my order a month and a half before the event, yet she refused to refund my £50 deposit, citing that she had already made the flowers for the cake. I find this hard to understand given the sufficient notice I provided. To make matters worse, when I explained that a credit note wouldn't work because I live abroad and wouldn't be returning to the area, the owner still wouldn't budge.

It's also frustrating that their terms and conditions were not clearly shared on WhatsApp, where all of our communication took place. Expecting customers to find this information on the website feels inconvenient and unfair.

What was even more upsetting is that I asked for my deposit to be donated to help those suffering in Gaza, and I was blocked instead. I hope the business improves transparency in their policies and handles customer requests with more empathy in the future.

My answer to your reply:

I didn’t think it was appropriate to mention my grandmother’s health situation in a Google review. Instead, I focused my feedback on the order process and suggested that you could have shared your terms and conditions more clearly on WhatsApp.

To clarify, the cake design was not yours; I provided the exact design from Pinterest. I assume that the ingredients purchased can still be used for other orders or in your bakery.

Given the poor customer service experience, it’s unlikely that my family or I will be ordering from you again. Hence, I recommended the money go to charity.

I asked Autumn to make a cake for my husband's 60th birthday and I couldn't have been happier!

She made an exquisite cake with icing made to look like grass with a golf ball on top - it was so pretty! And tasted amazing too! Everyone at the party thought it was magnificent!

We have been visiting Autumn's new cafe and pertisery since she opened in Alnwick , Autumn is very friendly and makes you feel so welcome. Her cakes are out of this world and so different from any you will find anywhere else in Alnwick. Tea and coffee are up to the standard of her cakes served in China cups and saurcers, check out the quirky spoons. Now even if your not a lover of hot chocolate my wife said I must try it next time we are in as it's the best she's ever tasted , once you've tasted it ask Autumn how she makes it then you'll know why it's so good.

I recently ordered a surprised birthday cake for my grandpas birthday! The cake was absolutely beautiful (and I'm told it tasted amazing) - making his day so special! The service was also impeccable - with personal delivery and a note included too. I would definitely recommend Plumb & Rabbitts Cake Studio to anyone - the service and cakes are fabulous!
