We had our dream wedding at Sedgewell Barn! My wife and I love animals and the countryside, so we were looking at barns as potential wedding venues. We even got engaged in the Yorkshire Dales, so Sedgewell Barn was an ideal venue as it's near to both the Dales and the North York Moors!

Sedgewell Barn had everything we needed, with plenty of different indoor and outdoor spaces for us to have our ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast, and evening entertainment. The place felt so joyful, yet also had a relaxed, peaceful countryside vibe. Even the weather was beautiful that day and the photos looked absolutely stunning!

We also loved the on-site accommodation. The Nest where we stayed was so cute and comfortable, and our guests said they really enjoyed their stay in the glamping pods. The hot tubs were a wonderful feature and we all got plenty of use out of them!

Most of all, the staff were just brilliant. They were so friendly and helpful and did everything to answer our questions during planning and make sure we had the best day.

Thank you to everyone at Sedgewell Barn that made it happen, everything was just so wonderful and we wouldn't have rather had it anywhere else! ❤️

Such amazing memories from our wedding day at Sedgewell Barn. Sedgewell Barn was by far the best, most personal venue we visited for our wedding. Unlike the larger venues that often hold multiple weddings across one day or weekend, at Sedgewell you don't have to share with anyone else and get to enjoy the whole venue with family and friends staying onsite, really making it your own.

From the moment we booked, we met the team and they were extremely helpful with all of our questions and ideas we had for the day - the wedding felt like a mini festival. We were introduced to LND Events who work with Sedgewell to ensure everything during the wedding day runs smoothly and they were also incredible.

Our guests arrived on the Sunday to a fun-filled afternoon of BBQing and clay pigeon shooting, followed by relaxing in the hot tubs before the big day. The day itself was fantastic, the venue and views are stunning and you can really make it your own. We both love the countryside and getting to look out over the beautiful landscape and see the sheep who live on the farm, plus spend the day with Pedro the Pony made what was already a really special day even better!

The team are extremely helpful and the owners Catherine and Stuart really take the time to meet the couples getting married at their home and it is lovely to be a part of their journey. We first visited Sedgewell as work was being done to build on the already beautiful venue. Catherine and Stuart have really listened to every couple and took their advise and experience onboard. By the time our wedding day arrived The Nest (bridal suite) had been built and it was a gorgeous place to spend time in and get ready with my bridesmaids for the big day.

We couldn't have asked for a better day and if we could do it all again we wouldn't change a thing! Thank you so much Sedgewell for making our wedding day feel truly special and I hope many more couples choose to get married with you in the future!

I was lucky enough to be Celebrant for an amazing wedding at Sedgewell Barn in May 24, and I ended up falling in love with the venue myself! There is so much gorgeous space both inside and out, and the views over the Yorkshire Dales were spectacular on a sunny day! The team were all incredibly helpful and accommodating, and I was delighted I got to meet Pedro the pony! This venue is certainly worth a visit, you won't be disappointed, and I really hope to be back for more ceremonies in the future.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. Our wedding was even dreamier than I expected it to be. We booked 2 years ago and our experience with the team has been nothing short of perfect. No question was too much and we got invited back to the venue when updates had been made (such as the completion of “The Nest” etc.
The two barns are beautiful and more than enough space for 80-120 guests.

I loved that we had the venue for the entire weekend and the hot tubs down at the glamping site were a hit with the wedding party - to the point where the groomsmen were having champagne in the tub at 10am of the wedding morning and had to get pushed along by our photographer! lol.

We also had Pedro the confetti horse - I kept this as a surprise for our guests and everyone loved him!

I would recommend Sedgewell to anyone who wants a private venue, set in beautiful gorgeous with a rustic feel and a gorgeous blank canvas to decorate how ever you see fit.

Thank you again Sedgewell, I really wish we could do the whole weekend again. 🤍

We fell in love with Sedgewell at our first viewing back in January 2022, we just loved the concept of all of the different rooms and areas, and the fact we could have our friends/family stay on site for a weekend of celebrations. At the time the bridal suite had not been built, and since booking there have been many adaptations (fantastic ones I may add), making it even more perfect.

The communication from the team has been spot on throughout, quickly responding to queries, sending information through and Louise was on hand the day before helping us to get set up and organised. The staff on the night were fantastic and really got involved, making sure we were having a good time.

Our family and friends loved the venue too and those who stayed on site loved the pods, it made it so they could also enjoy a weekend away in beautiful surroundings.

Our wedding in June 2024 was everything we hoped for and more, it was honestly the most amazing weekend filled with love, happiness and luckily- sunshine!!

Fantastic venue, helped to make our wedding super special. Everything really well organised and managed from the moment we paid our first deposit. Both barns are beautiful, and the nest was so cosy! Our friends and family all loved the glamping pods too. We'd certainly recommend!

We fell in love with Sedgewell Barn from our very first visit. The barns offer so much in in putting your own stamp on the day and as the perfect place to start planning from. High on our list was the ability to gather our family and close friends the night before and the cabins gave us such a lovely evening as people arrived and immediately relaxed into the weekend, with enough space to gather around share pizzas, and let the kids (and a few adults) burn off some energy to get a great nights kip, and a quick dip in the hot tubs, before the big day.

The venue is absolutely gorgeous and its testament to the team that they don’t sit on what is already a stunning venue, they’re constantly developing it to include thoughtful extras to enhance it. We felt in such safe hands, the team were warm, knowledgeable and onboard for our crazy ideas – like suggesting how best to hide a big brass band from your guests!

I’ll never be able to do justice in words how special they made our day and just how happy I am that we got to be a little part of this beautiful venues history – but you can probably tell from our photos, where we’re either absolutely beaming or full belly laughing!
