I am the non-sailor of our family membership but everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I always take something to do while the others are sailing but invariably end up chatting, watching the sailing or just enjoying the beautiful view of the tidal River Alde in all its moods.

I recently attended the very well attended Fitting Out Supper at Slaughden Sailing Club and enjoyed a delicious meal and the opportunity to catch up with old friends. As always at this Sailing Club, it was a happy event, and I was pleased to meet some new members. For accuracy, it should be noted that your picture depicts the nearby larger Aldeburgh Yacht Club, not Slaughden Sailing.
