Lovely store to have so close to our house. They have a nice collection of food and drinks and it’s nice to see that it is mostly local produce. Bit sad to see the amount of negative reviews purely because of the fact that the workers would rather you wore a mask. Yes, it is not a legal requirement however shops and their owners can decide whether they impose this rule or not. I have no complaints - 5 stars from me.

Extremely Rude lady at the counter. Tried to hurry me up saying customer is waiting behind me. I said I haven’t finished filling and putting sugars in my coffee , to that she replied ‘ your drink is done’. Another incident was when asked for a bag for my pastie, she replied ‘ you can just put in your pocket’. Please learn to be polite and your previous reviews proves that you lack customer service.

This store is a fantastic asset to our community and the family that run it have done amazing things for vulnerable people through lockdown. The store has a great selection and is perfect for a top-up shop or treats like pastries or grasmere meats.
I’m very happy to wear a mask to shop here and fully support the team at Swynford Stores to require their customers to do so.

Lovely local family run store who stock the essentials as well as lots of local produce and fresh bread, pastries daily.

If there's ever something they don't stock they will always try to get it in for you!

Adrian does his best to serve to community - delivering door to door during covid, taking letters to the local post office & extending opening hours as the Weald has grown.

Unfriendly sign outside (underlined )No Mask = No Entry. No Exemptions. Really? I'd forgotten my mask, so happy to wait by the door, but the lady wouldn't let my 12yr old granddaughter in without a mask either.... took my money elsewhere & will continue to do so. Looking forward to a supermarket opening...

Lovely shop with lovely staff. Expanded their range and opening hours as Alconbury Weald has grown. Despite there no longer being a legal requirement for masks, many shops and businesses choose to stipulate that masks must be worn. Swynford Stores is not unique in this. Can't comment on the experiences of those who are exempt from masks and were not served. My experience of Swynford Stores is all good and I hope they remain on the Weald when more shops open.

Great little local shop handy when you need to get that quick pint of milk or bread 👍🏻 And those moaning about being refused entry due to no mask there’s reasons behind it. Shop was serving local community throughout lockdown and seeing as Covid is still out there if shop staff get ill there’s no local post office or shop to be had so think before you complain.
