Gorgeous space to walk around and peruse the beautiful plants and vegetables, quirky decor around the place and lots to look at.

It’s kept so well - relaxing space right before the gardens.

I wanted an Alnwick rose but they are retired bt David Austin. Long story short, I contacted the plant centre in June and paid for my rose and plantman/gardener Callum kept it safe and well cared for until I was able to collect it today. Service above and beyond. A very grateful and happy customer 😁

Very well presented selection of mainly herbaceous perennials that you would want to buy after an inspirational visit to the gardens. Also a good selection of David Austin Roses, which are the main feature of the rose garden. The building is a fine piece of modern architecture made of glulam timber and etfe inflated rooflights. The shop is spacious, stocked with nice stuff and was just a pleasant place to browse.

Truthfully I was expecting more. Not a lot of plants to be bought, they seemed to be in good condition though. I'm not the gardener so don't really know. Highlight was a duck and about 14 ducklings wandering through. Sorry the video didn't work.

Thought this was a garden center you could visit to buy things but no you have to pay to enter as it’s only for those visiting the gardens at £14.85 + £3 parking as informed by staff. Sorry not worth it for getting some plants and potting soil?
