Love this pub.
You can go out to villages and pop into a pub and have an over priced beer with gastro pub pretence.
Or you can come to the eagle a very welcoming old school village pub.
Good food and good character.

This is a proper old boozer. Old fashioned in its decor but I like that. The service is always quick and staff are friendly. Nice outside seating area too. The menu has something for everyone and the food I had was quick and really lovely. The menu is well priced too. Lovely village pub

We popped in from the street seeing that it was a typical English proper pub, we were made so very welcome by Lorraine, we felt at home, the locals were engaging, the drinks delicious and a fair price, there was good banter and we stayed much longer that we planned to.
We are looking forward to going there again soon. Wish there were more of these pubs about. As a retired publican l recognise a good pub when l frequent it.

Nice village local, good selection of well kept ales. Currently we are at their annual beer festival for the first time in a few years (for obvious reasons) - brilliant as ever......

Great place for a local pint and a game of darts or pool. The bookable skittles alley makes a great addition for parties and events.
