We had a fantastic lunch, Tracy was great and even facilitated some fried onions which weren’t on the menu. Will definitely come again, thanks for being so amazing Tracy! The food was really nice too and a lovely setting. I would highly recommend

Just held the most lovely wedding for my Daughter and Son in law. The venue is beautiful but what made it a really special was the Staff. Everything just happened seamlessly. Nothing was too much trouble. Very grateful to everyone at Redcoats. If you're looking for a venue that really cares, go here.

We had an amazing stay, the room was beautiful, the setting idyllic and the food delicious. To top it all off the service was second to none. Absolutely all the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return and will be recommending to everyone. Love this place - thank you for a special stay ❤️

An excellent celebratory lunch. The food was superb. We chose rump of venison as the main, which was cooked to perfection. The main choice is very varied and good value for money. Being January the garden was in winter mode but must be stunning in the summer. Well worth the one hour drive.

We had our August wedding here this year and honestly it was an absolute dream! ||From the first open day to checking in after the BIG day, we only have praise. The team are honestly fantastic, so responsive, flexible and willing to hear all your ideas and individuality. We felt celebrated as a couple, they are genuinely interested in your story and help to bring together ideas as well as provide you with some guidance if you aren't quite sure on some decisions.||The communication is clear in the lead up to the wedding day. The meetings felt like a chance to get to know the venue more and they were always keen for us to have an explore where possible. We also really enjoyed special memories like out menu tasting and being able to drop off all our wedding bits the day before!||The venue itself is, of course, beautiful. We didn't have to do much to add to the atmosphere there. The place is clean, accessible for elderly relatives and the on site accommodation was easy to organise and just perfect for those late night partiers! We have had so many compliments on the food and wine since, it really was delicious.||A special thanks to our wedding coordinator, Charlie B, you are an absolute STAR! We really cannot thank you enough for your guidance in the planning, your joy and excitement for us on the big day and your willingness to help with almost anything- even changing my veil when I was struggling! We are so grateful for ALL of the teams professionalism, friendliness and care of us and our guests.||We cannot wait to come back and spend special occasions and anniversaries eating amazing food, drinking cocktails and reminiscing about our amazing wedding day.

Over rated and overpriced. £195 for very small room.|Food very average, lacking flavour & taste, especially breakfast. Coffee was stewed & lukewarm, asked 3 times for a 'fresh' hot cup but gave up after three attempts as they were all the same.|Staff somewhat indifferent.|Members of our family booked a 'family's room for 2 adults and 2 children. The children had to share a rickety sofa bed and were then charged extra for it! Surely a family room includes beds for children?|Based on our visit for family wedding I would not recommend.

What a beautiful place, had a lovely meal on Saturday. The game pie was amazing but the side of fried Brussels stole the show! I've never had Brussels like it, fried with parmesan over the top, if you're eating here you have to try them

Great value and interesting (but tasty) food choices on the menu this evening - it is a well thought out menu. I thought it was fresh and cleverly crafted. Hats off to the kitchen team for that special pork terrine starter. It was so humble and comforting, a perfect start to the meal. My partner ordered the best steak he’s had in years, and the beef bourguignon just melts in your mouth. I must say, they have mastered that potato confit too. The staff was very attentive and helpful, from the moment you arrive to confirm your reservation to checking out. Kept telling everyone on the table that they have a great team. They allowed us to bring our own cake for tonight’s double birthday celebration which is a plus. I highly recommend this place. It was a great first impression and I am certainly coming back for our next visit in the area.
