I had never been to a gym before, always felt too intimated, but the support of the coaches at Project PT made this possible. It is also very good for a beginner as they take you through all the exercises and don't make you feel stupid for not understanding gym lingo, as they explain things really clearly. I saw a lot of progress, but without the pressure of 'gym bro' culture.
The culture of the gym is very friendly, inclusive to women, minoritised genders, LGBTQIA+/ queer people.
I'd highly recommend them!

Just been to my first 1:1 session at Botley Gym in West Oxford. It’s a great location with a friendly and approachable vibe. I had no idea what to expect but my coach welcomed me and helped me do some good work so now I’m looking forward to my next session. All are welcome - whatever your age, fitness level or concerns. Call in and see for yourself? Like me, you won’t regret it 👍

Such a supportive environment to exercise in. I attend the strength sessions mostly, which are hour-long sessions where maximum 8 people follow a set programme led by a coach. The coaches know what they are doing and the atmosphere in the strength sessions is always great. I never regret a session and I always leave feeling better than when I arrived, it is an instant mood boost!

My teen really enjoys training sessions at Project PT. A relaxed atmosphere and trainers who are really comfortable working with young people. Would definitely recommend.

I've been with The Project PT since the beginning and have loved watching it grow and develop. So much more than just exercise... sessions with the project have benefited me not only physically but also mentally and emotionally... also, lucky enough to have made friends for life through these guys!

Recently I made the decision to move to their new studio on Magdalen Road from the Movement Studio. The combination of easier access, variety of classes and not wanting to give up my boxing classes were a few of the pros.

But there are so many more- the space itself is perfect pros not only being the carefully selected exercise equipment available but the amazing showers and GHDs make early morning sessions before work much easier!

The staff are friendly, enthusiastic and highly knowledgeable in what they do. Each selected with varied interests from kayaking to powerlifting and boxing to Indian clubs...

But how do I summarise the new gym. Maybe this message I sent to the team after an epic weekend session:

I'm loving the new gym.... had a great session Saturday morning... loving the group sessions and the teamwork that comes out of it... Matt and Milly really listened to what we needed to push ourselves that bit more... It did help it was sandwiched by getting bread from Hamblin before and coffee from Missing Bean after! 😁

My wife and I recently stayed in Oxford for 3 months, and joined The Project PT gym for the time we were there. We always felt incredibly welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the environment and positive vibe and energy every time we went there. The format of the classes is interactive, enables you to set your own limits, and is fun. The staff are incredibly professional, we mainly had Gianna and Jess as our session trainers. Both are excellent, experienced trainers, assisting us always, and making the sessions fun. We would highly recommend The Project PT to anyone looking for a local gym with great trainers. The only gym I'd go to. Ajaye and Alexa have created the most welcoming space for movement and community. I go on the pretext of improving strength but have gained so much more than this. Everyone is so friendly and you get to know regular faces; in each session people encourage each other to have a go and I've ended up improving almost without realising. They're truly showing fitness and exercise don't have to be painful or put a huge stress on the body - I feel like I'm the strongest I've ever been just through turning up for a chat and doing the odd lunge!

Join this gym! Project PT is the best gym I've ever had the privilege to be a part of. I've been a member for over 1 year now. Every member of staff I've been in contact with has shown a natural warmth, an awesome attitude, and a wealth of knowledge. I know that I've been coached to feel my best self when training at every session. The staff all bring their own set of skills, many speak other languages, and it's an inclusive space. The classes are never oversubscribed and you're part of a small group each class so it still feels like you're getting a PT experience.

I always leave feeling well-connected and energised. The trainers really showcase a 'no question is a silly one' approach. The classes are fun and there isn't an ounce of pretense to this wonderful place.

Thank you for creating such a special hub in the community! Love you guys!
