A very busy pub. Saturday night rammed. We had a table booked. The "music" was just instrumental noise. Very strange but they turned it off in our area when we asked as we couldn't hear ourselves think or talk to one another. Food was ok. A different selection to run of the mill pubs which was nice. Everything looked nice. Some things didn't have a huge amount of taste. The fish cakes were ball shaped but didn't have much fish in them. We would return but not on a Saturday night.

Lovely staff and always great food. No allergy menu however when asked can sort you out. Gluten free pescatarian roast dinner enjoyed on many occasions. Wish there was more items on the menu eg vegan sausages without gluten such as the beyond meat brand for a change but fish is fine and appreciated without batter. Staff always super friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.

Didn't book a table for dinner but the nice chap behind the bar found me a table for one. Great menu, not over complicated & really good food. There was a buzz about the place & other guests leaving had all had a good visit. 2nd visit to the Turks & will be a regular stop when in the area.

Lovely welcome from the pleasant staff and roaring Wood fire for our lunchtime visit today. Always best to reserve ahead. Beautiful baked fillet of cod with mushrooms and chorizo, and very reasonable price. Definitely recommended, a fine old English pub restaurant that cares about customer service.

Friendly staff, nice comfortable place. Meals were hit and miss, one off the menu was awesome and the other "special" was ho-hum (maybe specials are to try new recipes?). Starter was nothing like what was described on the menu, and when challenged, the staff said the dish was correct (and charged full price) so pretty disappointing stuff really. I'd like to try them again, but not local, so unlikely.
