A magical wedding venue!

The place to book for outdoor, walled garden weddings!
We went to a wedding here on Saturday.
Beautiful walled gardens for the ceremony. Lots of flowers and kept garden.
Portaloo toilets
Lots of grounds for a wedding.
Two Beautiful cute ponies.
Swing in one for the large gardens.

Where do we begin? We were lucky enough to host our wedding at Thurning and we couldn’t be happier that we did.
The gardens were full of colour and interest, providing the perfect backdrop for our perfect day. So many guests commented on the beauty of the venue and how they hadn’t ever been anywhere like it.
Lara and George couldn’t have been more helpful; in the lead up, guiding us with logistics and always quick to answer our questions, as well as being on hand on the day itself.
As a true dry hire venue you really have the freedom to personalise every element of the day, without set lists of suppliers, extra fees, or restrictive rules. We cannot recommend Thurning enough - our only regret is that we can’t relive the day all over again!

Thurning Hall was the perfect venue for our wedding in July! There are so many beautiful elements to this venue from the rooms we met the registrars in to the magical walled garden where we had our ceremony. The second, larger walled garden fitted our 3 pole marquee in brilliantly. Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was! It is dry hire so I had to organise everything but Lara was great with recommendations and advice on what has worked best in the past. She is so experienced and was on hand the days we were setting up and made sure the ceremony went smoothly. I didn't see any other venues like this in Norfolk, it is truly special!

Such a magical venue! I love working at Thurning, it offers such a beautiful backdrop to my clients creating their own unique day, packed with personal details. We were lucky enough to be able to have a resent family photo shoot at this beautiful home. The grounds were just magical, and the late afternoon light was just perfect, as the sun twinkled through the trees. The gardens were rustic, wild and real. Filled with beautiful roses and blossoms. The old wall garden was my particular favourite. Lara was so welcoming and helpful and allowed us and the photographer the freedom to explore and find the perfect place for our photo shoot. I would strongly recommend this beautiful stately home and Lara and George, as hosts, their passion radiates through the estate, and if you love the wild, romantic country side location, this will be just perfect for you. Thank you Lara, your beautiful home added a timeless look to our photographs.
