The Marshall Arena Milton Keynes Christmas party was absolutely incredible! The atmosphere was electric from the moment I walked in – the decorations were stunning, the acts were amazing, and the food was delicious. The dancing and aerial acrobatics were a real highlight, and the DJ kept us entertained with a singalong during our meal then kept the dance floor packed all night long. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I had the best time.
If you're looking for a festive night out, I can't recommend this event enough!

Really bad hospitality all round - bad food, gross toilets, rude staff. Ordered a bottle of wine to the table (the cheapest nastiest stuff is £29 as well!) and it took over an hour to get there, during which time I asked a member of staff if she knew where it was and then was immediately forgotten about. When I was finally able to find someone else, I was treated suspiciously. If you’re going to charge £29 at least have some kind of system in place so you don’t make people feel like thieves (I could argue that taking £29 for something and not sending it is stealing, but I won’t).
One pro was the security staff at the front who were great, really friendly and efficient.

Manchester Central, amazing night!
Huge thanks to the team at Vivid, shout out to Max for making our night possible! We was very apprehensive about booking this for our works Christmas event but there was no need, fantastic night, amazing food and what an absolute vibe! We will definitely be booking this again, thank you team Vivid!

Farnborough venue (although probably all about the same) so sub par and more expensive than best parties ever who we usually book with. Next to no theming at the event despite what was advertised - the most “Cirque de Lumiere” seemed to be from the lights in the toilets. Entertainment was 5 minutes of silks, nobody had a clue what they were doing serving food - chicken was nuked to the point it was rubber and half the table finished before the others received their food. Service all round was really poor - after 10pm no way to continue ordering drinks for the table, staff actively trying to avoid any conversation, placed an order with one woman who went past and then decided to grumpily take the order and completely ignore it. Kept getting fobbed to go to the bar who didn’t even stock any of the drinks on the menu. Felt like a constant attempt to be forcing us to drink by the glass and not the bottle.

Staff were also taking everyone’s drinks off tables when they went to dance so came back and no glasses and drinks all taken.

Overall, next year we will go back to our normal organiser instead of wasting several thousand with this shower.

Got rejected at the door at Manchester Central for the Xmas party because my winter boots [see photo] are not formal enough. Saw another woman in boots entering without a problem (her boots are leather boots to be fair). Tried entering again stating to another bouncer that on the tickets it says “SMART DRESS ESSENTIAL - JEANS, TRAINERS, T-SHIRTS OR SPORTSWEAR WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED” and I carefully avoided sportswear. Bouncer called manager out to decide. Manager let us in saying it does say only no sportswear so she had to let us in. We thanked her. After entering the door, security asked if we had bags, we said “no” and then we walked on. Midway, I got stopped to check whether i had a bag underneath my coat (which i was holding) [see photo]. When realised i didn’t have a bag, the security lady said my coat looked heavy and she had to check. I said “it’s okay, understand this is part of your job,” and told her i had my phone in the pocket. She checked one pocket and the other pocket of the jacket and said there was something in it, i thought it was my phone, she said my phone was in the other pocket. I realised it was my cash pouch, so i fished out my thin fabric pouch [see photo] which held some cards and cash. She apologised for checking, saying “They asked me to check.”

I felt discriminated against. My partner was holding a coat with a foldable umbrella in the pocket but no one checked his.

Well what a night. I was a little worried about the security staff at the venue due to reviews I had read. As we entered the hall a security officer asked my partner to watch how she stepped onto the carpet from the hard floor outside the hall. This was a shock as of what I read about the security being insensitive. As the party started and we were really enjoying the night. The first show was fantastic. After the meal starter me and my partner went to the bathroom. She was complaining about feeling unwell ( Not from alcohol before you think). She fainted in my arm outside the bathrooms. The security staff responded very fast to support me with first aid for my partner. I would like to thank them and the NEC paramedics for the professional service they proved. My Partner was taken to A&E for health reasons.

I’ve been to Birmingham NEC and Leicester Athena Christmas parties for a few years now. My colleagues and I won’t go anywhere else. The food is amazing, the entertainment is fab and it’s a really good value and fun night - we normally buy the unlimited drinks package. My team especially love the NEC with the fairground nights - an unforgettable night, you just can’t beat it. The venue has a high-end quality feel to it with all the props and staging. Really missed our Christmas night our last year, fingers crossed for 2021 - we’ll be there!
