Came for Afternoon Tea in October with the family. The Afternoon Tea was lovely, so much food and all very tasty. Tea and coffee was plentiful, the pots were a little on the heavy side as they were so big but we managed. The only thing I would say is the room that we were in was completely lacking atmosphere and felt like we were in a room that was getting ready for painting and decorating. I can't knock the Afternoon Tea as it was lovely but if we came back I'd rather sit in the cosy bar area where there was a bit more atmosphere and was a bit more homely.

We attended our Daughter Laura and Adams wedding on 25th October. What a day, what a venue. The hotel, the rooms, the staff. Everything from start to finish went so smoothly. Everyone had a great time and all our family stayed over. My husband and I had the pent house, this was amazing as were all the other rooms. Lovely food along with the brilliant service of the staff. A day we will never forget thanks for making it special for us all. Jackie and Brian Gibson.

We had our wedding at the Woodlands on 25th October 2024. It was amazing from start to finish! The staff are fantastic and the food was lovely as mentioned by all of our guests. Would like to say a massive thanks to all involved in the organiding and serving of the Xmas Day lunch. The whole afternnon was really well organised with fantastic food, first time we have been out on Xmas Day as a family and i would highly recommend it. Thank you Woodlands Hotel.

Afternoon Tea; I came here with my friend and sister for a little catch up, after a recommendation from a friends daughter who attended a wedding here. The service was a little slow, even though we were the only ones in the dining room. We were not impressed with the afternoon tea, it was definitely not worth the £24.50 each we paid for it. From the advertising photos we expected delicate little finger sandwiches and cute dainty cakes, what we got were dry scones and big lumps of sponge cake surrounding a slab of custard tart.
Overall a disappointing experience, we won't be returning!

The property having nice decorations and architecture layout for wedding or party.. a lot of local travelers during weekday, one suggestion to the management things to have detail room maintenance to be improved, example sink having water slow draining, interior placement, hand man crafts to the installation, etc.. overalls good experience

We got married at Woodlands Hotel last month on 4 October - firstly, the biggest thank you!! Jessica, our wedding coordinator, from the start was fantastic (she's part of the reason I was so happy to go ahead with booking knowing the wedding was in good hands!) and all the team who helped us on the run up and on the day. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so friendly and professional, answering all my questions and organising the bedrooms at reception, for example. The hotel was immaculate for all our visits and on the day - the orangery and drawing room are gorgeous -thank you to everyone who worked our wedding and behind the scenes too, your efforts don't go unnoticed. On the day, everything ran like clockwork (I work in events so knowing everything was in hand made me feel so at ease!) and the whole day was just perfect. The food got rave reviews (especially the beef and tiramisu!) from our guests and the bedrooms were clean, comfy and nicely decorated ! After booking our date, the new addition of the pizza oven and drinks van on the terrace was just the icing on the cake!

Breakfast all together the next morning was lovely and delicious. The new(ish) bridal room was a wonderful extra for me and the girls on the morning too. Marc was a fantastic toast master and certainly brought the energy to the room!

I can't recommend Woodlands enough - it's a hidden gem on the outskirts of Leeds and the team involved just make the place even more special. If I could do it all over again, I would! Thank you so much, from the new Mr & Mrs Morrison

Myself and my partner recently got married at the Woodlands, and our experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish, we could not have been happier!

So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the rooms are and how stunning the entire place is, the overall vibe of the venue is just so welcoming.

Our wedding co-ordinator Abbigail was so helpful from day one, answering all of our (many!) questions throughout the planning process with patience. Herself, the general manager, the toast-master, and the rest of the crew were so fantastic on the day itself, making sure everything went to plan.

On your wedding day, you really need a brilliant team around you making sure everything is organised, and it was clear from the moment we arrived that the staff at the Woodlands really know what they're doing! Not only are they friendly and personable, but they really made us feel looked after, so that we could simply relax and enjoy our day, and not worry about anything else.

If you're looking for a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a fantastic team and beautiful surroundings, you really cannot go wrong with the Woodlands!
