Disappointing Customer Service – Let Down at the Last Minute

I previously used Digital Image for printing and had no issues, so I naturally returned to them for a new job—unfortunately, this time, their customer service has been extremely poor.

I contacted them 10 days before a charity event I’m running, requesting a quote for 100 copies of five different flyers/leaflets. I simply needed an idea of cost and turnaround time so I could ensure everything was sent over in time.

After hearing nothing back, I visited their premises in person to follow up. I spoke to a staff member who reassured me they were working on it and that I would receive a quote within a couple of hours. That was four days ago, and despite sending another follow-up email, I have had no response whatsoever—not even a simple acknowledgment that they are looking into it.

I have now run out of time and am forced to find another printing company at the last minute, adding unnecessary stress to an already busy time. I don’t understand why this particular job has been a problem for them, given my previous experience was fine. If they couldn’t take on the job, they should have just said so instead of leaving me waiting and chasing them for a response. Really disappointing service—I won’t be using them again.

I designed my mum's order of service for her funeral and needed to get it printed. I was very nervous about it looking good. I hadn't used York Digital Image before. The quality was fantastic. I was able to choose from a variety of paper for it to be printed on. I was expecting it to be ready by Monday (this was a Saturday) instead they extremely kindly did it within hours the same day without me asking. They were extremely professional and kind in this sense. The final print was brilliant and at the funeral my brother was very impressed by the quality of the order of service. I am very grateful to York Digital Imaging for making things so easy for me at what was a difficult time.

Dishonest
I recently placed an order for two face photo masks on an A4 sheet after being quoted £2 to £3 per photo over the phone. However, when I went to collect my order, I was charged £10. I explained the price I had been quoted, but the staff member had a very poor attitude and insisted the price was £10. Despite trying to clarify, she wasn’t listening, so I ended up paying the higher price.

I am disappointed with both the misleading pricing and the unprofessional customer service I received.

I have had two consecutive great experiences with York Digital Images.
Nick had helped me both times & he has provided exceptional service.
The first time was to make prints from some old fashioned negatives & the second to scan 20+ pictures of various sizes & quality.
The pictures were to be used for my dad’s funeral so I really appreciated nicks professional, friendly & caring approach.
I will definitely be using their services again.
