A bizarre and unfriendly experience. I’m not one to usually leave reviews but I would like the owners to read this and understand what is occurring at their Beverley Road shop.

I approached Hullabaloon with a request to buy a large number of balloons for a retail event, we had called first to let them know that we would be coming. The young girl who served me first was friendly, and seemed to want to try her best but very inexperienced. Due to the potential large order she asked for help, requesting it from another member of staff in the back room who responded/grunted that ‘I told them we probably didn’t have enough’. She emerged smelling unwashed, (an odour that overpowered the room, to which even her colleague even stood back!) and completely uninterested, seemingly put out by my request. I was told that my request wouldn’t leave them many balloons to sell anybody else, (odd that a shop wouldn’t want to sell their stock!). I don’t even get to agree a number, she just counted a few bags of balloons one by one, which at this point I just wanted to get it over and done with, and leave with whatever was available. I requested to buy some string/ribbon to which the response was ‘we use this too for our other customers’ to which I presumed she meant ‘no’, however she put a reel in the bag and priced it up. No thank you, eye contact, or goodbyes. It was a strange and awkward experience, I genuinely felt sorry for the younger employee.

I won’t be returning. We won’t be considering Hullaballoon for any of our large orders.

honestly appalling. my first time there i was hit by a stench you couldn't even describe. like a mix of a dead animal and sweat. but i never judge as you don't know what people are going through. until i talked to the older lady there. she was rude, and other staff had to step away from her as if to avoid her musk. i didn't manage to get what i wanted as the staff couldn't give me what i asked for, and began charging me for things i didn't want. i didnt want to stand and argue due to the foul roadkill smell and left very quickly. appalling.

It was my wife's 60th birthday on May 10th Friday they were delivered on the the time I asked for .I had my wife's name Tracey in silver lettering i was amazed how large the display was it was amazing thank you I would recommend

Purposely travelled into town to purchase some balloons and after parking and walking to the store, to find it's not there anymore was very annoying, need to remove or update website

Didn’t get what I ordered or paid for despite placing my order 2 months in advance. I ordered 3 sets of 3 balloons with an extra foil one in each so 4 balloons per cluster. received 2 sets of 4. They were in bin bags ready upon collecting so only noticed when unpacked and the foil balloons wasn’t even the ones I ordered. I then rang the store who basically said sorry I couldn’t get the ones you wanted if I can get some they will refund me. HOW within an hour of a party am I going to get some? I said why didn’t you ring or message me to let me know you couldn’t fulfil my order I didn’t get a reply.

I have used Hullaballoon a few times for one of my businesses and have always been really happy with the service, so when it came to Valentines Day after seeing some great photos and posts on Facebook about the balloons I could buy, I went out specially to buy some balloons for a Valentines night I had planned.
Around 1:30 I set off to the town centre store only to find it was closed so I went on to the Beverley Road shop. When I entered the shop, I saw the two ladies behind the counter and I said Hi...no response back. I asked if there were any Valentines Balloons made up, response "What?", so I repeated. I was then told in a I cant be bothered tone of "no, only the ones in the window"
So I went over and looked over them, yes they weren't great, some slightly deflated but I needed them so I went back to the counter and asked to how much it would be for the ones in the window. Again I must say I felt that I was intruding on their day and that they would rather me just leave!
One lady went to the window and got the balloons out one by one so the other lady could count. I was told £ 23. I said I would have them and asked to pay on card machine to be told it wasn't working. So I had no choice but to leave.
Customer service was terrible I'm, sorry to say, its a horrible feeling walking into a shop and feel like you are not welcome or that your custom is not welcome.
Its s shame because all the times I have had my orders delivered to me before, it has been great. Perhaps the two ladies in the shop that day need to brush up on their manors and customer service.
