I have been treated very badly by Eventcover. I attended an assessment that was set up by the National Careers Service for SIA license qualification. The following day I received an email confirming that I had passed the assessment, and that a placement had been reserved for me. A few days before the course was due to start. I was again asked via email, to reattend the training centre. I was asked to retake the assessment, but was only given a very narrow time window to attend. The consequence of failing to attend would be removal from the course. Fortunately, I was able to attend within the required time frame. I do not know why I was asked to redo the assessment, as I was the only one present that was being asked to do so. Whilst I did attend. It was confirmed verbally that I was due to start the training on the date that was previously confirmed via email. I arrived at the training centre on time today to start the training course. I was then informed that my reserved place on the course had been given to someone else with no explanation or apology. I was told that an email had been sent to me informing me of the change. I did not receive any email to my inbox, and I arrived completely unaware of these changes.
I am currently unemployed. I do not receive any expenses, so I have incurred all of the costs for the 40 mile travelling to the training centre 3 times. I believe that due to my age that they have discriminated against me. They deliberately put up extra hurdles in retaking assessments, in the hope that I would not attend as a way to get rid of me. That failed so they simply removed me from the course, and showed me the door when I arrived. Terrible way to treat people, and is a massive knock to my confidence.
I would like to add. My work coach that set up the course has attempted to contact Eventcover training by phone,and voicemail. Unfortunately they have decided to ignore attempts to contact them.

Friendly staff and people but terrible organization shown. I had been accepted on to the course and was put back to the next course rolling so I had to wait a month which is fair as it is popular, after waiting a month and being told I have been reserved a spot on the course I was disappointingly told that I would be again cut back to the next course rolling last minute two days before the course start date "due to funding changes" which felt like a poor excuse for poor management and accepting too many people on to the course as I got told last minute to visit the next day to confirm my spot on the course, I believe this was in hopes that not enough people could turn up. This was all very infuriating as I had put off a lot in terms of potentially receiving income and a huge waste of my time.

I recently completed a two-week security course with Event Cover, and I can confidently say it was an incredibly positive and valuable experience. The company is highly professional and has clear, high standards that they uphold at all times. They are committed to working only with individuals who are serious, dedicated, and willing to put in the effort required to succeed. Any disruptive or unprofessional behavior is simply not tolerated, which fosters a focused and productive learning environment.

The trainers—Malik, Sue, and Anthony—deserve special recognition for their exceptional dedication and expertise. They are passionate about what they do and ensure that every participant is well-prepared for the demands of the security industry. Their firm yet supportive approach made the course both challenging and rewarding.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to train with Event Cover. The high standards they maintain and the quality of their instruction have given me the confidence and skills to move forward in my career. I would highly recommend Event Cover to anyone serious about pursuing a career in security.

Eventcover’s training was great and I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the course.
Dave, Jason, Sue and Malik are extremely knowledgeable about the industry and also, patient and supportive tutors. They really do want you to succeed. Very memorable experience and i’m grateful to have had the opportunity to train with Eventcover. I’ll be returning to do more courses.
