Lovely walk, great fun for kids to explore. Fairy doors, mythical sculptures. Lots of ducks and wildlife! We've had great adventures here.

Free Tai Chi by The Avenue Entrance. Every Monday 3.15pm and Thursday 10am for an hour. Lovely outdoor space and nature reserve next to Grand Union Canal.

We go to a free Tai Chi class here. Perry leads and the class is friendly and accessible. Runs Thursday 10-11am and Monday 315-415pm.

Westley Vale is in Acocks Green and you can park in The Avenue, Woodcock Lane (canal bridge end) or Elmdon Road to access it. It's a beautiful little piece of heaven, you wouldn't know you were in Birmingham, it is so pretty. There is a small grassed area for picnics and thai chi every Thursday morning, and a walk that leads to the wooded bit and the canal. There are plenty of seats if, like me, you have a sore back. By the beach area on the canal, you can walk up steep steps and either walk on to leave at Woodcock Lane or do a u-turn to your right and walk down the pathway back to the green. It is full of wild flowers, trees, tree carvings and is a great place to walk your dog. It is VERY clean, the trustees and volunteers take great care to keep it that way. For peace and quiet, visit the vale.

Great Green space in this dense urban area. Downside is that at present it is very overgrown and dark and therefore may feel threatening to loan walkers.

At the bottom of the road so go there all the time. Beautiful space to walk through to the canal.
